Residential Block 01

Residential Block 01 (R01) was the first housing project, and it resembles a suburb-like construction. It is on the northernmost section of the hexagonal island. There are a few trees and smaller roads, but most of the people in R01 work either in the Industrial Block or the Agricultural Block. It costs less to live here than in R02. There are small shops and such, but no superstores.

Residential Block 02

Residential Block 02 is the newer housing project. It is full of high-rise apartments of varying architectural styles. It is closer to the airport and the seaport, making it also full of hotels and such around them. It is constantly increasing in height, as more people are moving to R02. It is very expensive to live in R02 near the ocean, but it is fairly cheap to live away from it.

Agricultural Block

The Agricultural Block (Ag) is the main way Artemis is self-sufficient. It produces everything from livestock to corn to wheat. There are special systems that allow nearly anything to be grown on Artemis. It is one of the larger blocks on Artemis, and it is the third most unsafe location to work.

ESF Asia-Oceania Political HQ

The government block in Artemis is home to the political observers for Asia and Oceania. The main building is a tall, circular skyscraper with full-time security and office personnel known as the Spiral. There are about 400 people working in that building alone. The Spiral is not the only building in the district, as the 4th Infantry Company (Warrigal) is stationed there as permanent security. There are two barracks—one male, one female. There are also four V-31 Tunny tiltrotors stationed there under General Staff's command for evacuation and search & rescue operations. The public, aside from press (with an appointment) is not allowed into the Spiral. The barracks may be visited by family, albeit with approval from the base CO.

Seaport

The Seaport (Sp) is the only multi-layer block in Artemis. It is built all the way down to about 100 meters below sea level. This is because instead of creating a dock outside, Artemis allows ships to sail inside. The shipyard itself is entirely internal and underground. It is the massive shipping and distribution center that is above-ground. Said to be the most dangerous place to work.

Airport

The airport (Ap) is rarely used for commercial flights. It is mainly used for the many residents who can afford private aircraft. It's rarely crowded, as the terminal is mainly there for show purposes. There are just a few commercial flights, and most of those go to the main airport on Agrihan. The main flights from and to here are actually sending supplies to the island-city.

Warehouse Block

The Warehouse block (Wh) is where all things not currently in use by the island-city are stored. This means extra food, storm equipment, building materials, etc. Half of the district, however, is full of storage buildings for private use. There are also warehouse-like distribution centers, but those are rented from the island itself.

Twin Parks

The Twin Parks (Pa) are two large 500 by 500 meter green parks separated by the Government district. Each one has a lake, a playground, and jogging trails through the forest. The parks were constructed to allow the residents of Artemis a "green escape." There is not a single part of the parks that is artificial, save for benches and the playgrounds.

Commercial District

The Commercial District (Co) is one of the largest blocks of Artemis. It is full of skyscrapers and multi-story malls. Many companies set up shop on Artemis, allowing them a near-guaranteed sell. It is the first thing many people see from a distance, as the tallest building on Artemis—the Shard—is located here.

Industrial District

The Industrial District (In) is the most densely constructed block of Artemis. It is almost one big factory and power plant, as most everything in the industrial district relates to one another. The Industrial District is almost always covered in a heat mirage, as most everything is powered by natural gas.

The Line Ark

The Line Ark (LA) is a massive, multi-tiered transportation network. There are three layers to the 5 kilometer-long bridge. There is a top, 6-lane highway for noncommercial travel. Beneath that, there are two large suspended-rail train systems with around four trains on each. These trains vary from passenger to commercial travel. Beneath those are two more 6-lane highways, all reserved for commercial travel. The bridge is made of giant concrete slabs and steel, much like Artemis. However, it is only really reinforced where there are the large low-budget residential living.
