Personality:


Minami is a very happy individual.  Wherever she goes, there is some sort of smile on her face.  It isn't that she can't be sad, angry, etc., but that she defaults to happy.  Basically, if there were no outside factors, she'd always be in a good mood.  She is also a bit harder to upset because of this.  This makes her a bit more approachable, seeing as she doesn't look miserable like some people.  She also likes doing fun things, since she does enjoy being happy.  Joking around, and going to hang out an just have fun are some of her favorite things to do.  There are a few things that upset her though, and she does have things that trouble her.  Very few will know though, as Minami does her best to drown it out with happiness, and will only show it if the feeling becomes a bit too strong.


Minami is also a rather hyper individual.  She just has a lot of pent up energy within her body that she needs to get out.  Combined with how happy she always seems to be, she looks REALLY hyper.  This doesn't mean that she can't sit down and read a book without squirming (she actually enjoys this from time to time).  It is just any activity that requires movement, she has a lot of energy for.  She is always ready for something if she wants to do it.  Until late in the day, she will almost never be heard saying, "I'm too tired," of course sometimes it can be 12 in the morning and she will be full of energy.  This probably plays into her unusually high stamina.


Minami gets along with people quite well.  She is personable, so she can go up to just about anyone and start up a conversation at will.  She isn't a shy person around the general populace in the least.  She can talk, laugh, and overall be a very pleasant girl to be around.  This overall makes her a hard girl to hate, as she doesn't generally act in a way that would make others hate her.  If someone is at the point she isn't friendly to them, then obviously they've done something to make her dislike them.


Despite how happy, energetic, and friendly she is, Minami is lonely deep down inside.  This is caused by her past, in which she didn't have many friends.  Even most of the friends she did have didn't feel like friends, as they seemed too distant and generic.  Even today, the many people she gets along with feel too generic and distant.  When topped off by how her parents are always working, and that she never sees them, makes her feel very alone in the world.  This is a large source of the sadness that plagues her secretly, and is the cause for almost all instances in which she doesn't look happy on the outside.  She wants to have someone in the world she can truly feel close to, and that is actually around her.  She desperately wants it, but no one seems to give that to her.


Despite everything, Minami is still a determined person.  She doesn't just give up on anything, and fights through things that are difficult or upsetting.  This is why she can never see her parents and smile.  This is why she can feel so alone, but fight through as if she is happy.  In fact, her sheer determination to be happy is what makes her happy.  She may be lonely, but she can be in a good mood because she is determined to be and optimistic that things will get better.  This is a large part of her drive to go on.  Thus, only people who become close to her will ever know she is lonely, because other than that she will never show it enough for people to find out.


Minami will act a lot differently around someone she likes or is attracted to.  She can be shy at times, and talking to said person can make her blush...quite noticeably.  She can act her happy and friendly self, but it will always be a shyer version of that.  It isn't too hard for someone she likes to make her stutter.  Even if she is in a relationship with them and becomes used to them, there are things that will always trigger a powerful blush and make her stutter like crazy.  She will overtime become very attached to her significant other, and be around them a lot.  Her lonely nature causes her to love any attention the other person gives her, however sometimes there is a such thing as too much.  If someone it tickling her or abusing the sensitive spot she may try to run away as fast as she can.  Thus she does love hugging, kissing, etc.  Overall, she is very affectionate and loyal to whomever she is with.  She has an extremely sensitive spot on the small of her back (pleasure, not pain), which her significant other can easily take advantage of, as well as being very VERY ticklish.  She is also a lesbian, and has an odd thing for maid's outfits.


Character Background: Minami was born in Karakura town to an average family.  They were actually quite well off (and by well off I mean loaded beyond belief, there was nothing that they couldn't afford.  If it could be bought, they had the money to do so), but they were average in the sense that they were powerless, or at least Minami thought so.  All of them, the idea of spiritual powers were unheard of, at least at first.  Minami grew up as a fairly normal girl for awhile, in personality.  She was daughter to one of the richest families anyone had ever seen, they lived in a mansion and anything she wanted she could pretty much get.  She didn't become a snob though, because her parents were careful with raising her.  She was perky and friendly to all she met.  Around the time she was 7 years old, her father set up an office within Artemis.  This is when her family truly began to learn of the spiritual realm.  It was during their stays at another mansion they purchased in Artemis that they realized there was an invisible world around them that they could not see.  People talking to thin air, and other incidents.  Little Minami was a very impressionable girl, and seeing all this, wanted to know what spiritual beings were like.  She began to dream of being able to see them, but when her friends at Karakura later found out, they just laughed at her.  Things like this caused her to disconnect from them, and though they were still nice to her, they didn't feel like real friends.

Minami felt lonely because of this, though she never showed it.  She wanted more than anything to learn to see spirits, and to find someway not to be alone anymore.  Her parents always seemed to be dealing with business and whatnot, so she was on her own in that respect.  Her life went on like this for awhile until she found out about Hephaestus Academy from someone who knew of it.  She was intrigued when she heard about how the school functioned.  Through a complicated series of events and discussions with her parents, she eventually decided to enroll.  She was 16, and soon she waved goodbye to her family as she went off to Hephaestus Academy.  She missed her parents a little but there was no going back.  Minami still had contact and still had her family's fortune at her back, she could still get just about anything she wanted.  However, she was in a whole new world, and she was going to prove to the world just what she could do.


Natural Abilities:
Speed:  Minami is rather speedy, which is expected given her size and body type.  She can run faster than most powerless humans, able to keep high speeds going for an extended period of time.

Strength:  Minami is strong for such a small girl.  Though she isn't "strong" she packs a punch for someone her size.

Stamina: Minami has a fairly high stamina, given how fast she can run and how long she can keep it up.  She does not tire easily.
