| It was evening in the city of Karakura. The sun had JUST begun to drop in the sky, leaving the sky a nice bright orange color. It would still be an hour or two before the sun was gone and the lights of the city officially took over. There were few clouds in the sky, leaving the evening quite a beautiful sight. Even though it was the downtown district, the buildings did not, or rather could not, detract from the beauty. It was the weekend, thus everything imaginable was open late and the streets were rather full. People walked up and down the streets. However, one person was not moving around with the flow. A woman with dark hair, long but tired up into a loop in the back, sat on a bench somewhat detached from the events around her. She has, arms folded across her body. In one hand was a wine glass, balanced between two of her fingers. She sat with a near perfect posture, and a rather neutral looking expression on her face. She was a little tipsy from the wine she had been drinking, but he was still fairly aware of her surroundings. There was a reason she was in the busy part of town though, she needed food. Being a Sōnansha had its complications, one of these was her need to feed. She couldn't do it to a spiritual entity, she didn't require Reishi or just blood like some did. She needed Qi, which only living beings had within them. She really didn't feel like doing, but she had to feed. This has been part of her life for years, not like feeding ever changed. She was not a socialite though, she almost hope she saw someone slip into an alley alone. She could sneak up on them, feed, and then leave. They feel a little dazed, but in the end no harm done. Most humans don't even USE their Qi, and it isn't like when they are fed on and have their blood taken.
Though as she sat, this Sōnansha, Destiny, felt something strange. Really, I need food and this happens. All around panic might help her find a feeding target, or it might make it HARDER and possibly have people label her the target if she got caught. She stood up, quickly drinking up the last of her wine. She tossed the wine glass casually, causing it to break in two on the ground. No one walked around barefoot in the middle of the city though, so it would be fine. If it was that big a deal she'd come back later and throw it out. She walked away, her high heals clicking as they struck the sidewalk. That in itself was quite the sight, and no not just because she was hot and had amazing posture! No, she was walking as if they were regular shoes, in a way that few people could actually tolerate. What she felt she had felt before. It was the energy of a hollow, or at least something like that. It was fairly strong, but regardless Destiny was no pushover. She REALLY hated even having to deal with hollow. She usually left them to others, but it is easier to sneak around and feed if the populace was calm. Maybe it'd be easier to FIND someone to understand the situation and allow her to do so, but she wasn't exactly a master of starting conversation. She can talk to Mimiko, and children, the former she'd never try to take anything like that from, and the latter she'd never feed on because it was too risky. She slipped through the crowded streets, reaching the edge of downtown, and entering the forest nearby. If this thing that she felt left the forest she could kiss her feeding tonight bye bye. The moment she was done, she'd head right back downtown. She stopped and looked around. Rather strong an energy. She had no weapons besides her body...and some pencils and pens she had in her pockets. Maybe if she's lucky she'll save someone being attacked, and be able to just feed off them. Or someone else will show up to help and make the fight easier. Little did she know, what she was sensing was a low level Arrancar and some hollow it controlled.
Note: I don't care if the characters added powerless or strong, what I have planned is versatile enough that both work.

Ahhh, so this was Karakura Town. The girl in red stepped out into the street, breathing in the fresh air of the evening. She'd been here for maybe fifteen minutes, after having gotten off of the train from the airport. She had heard that this was a strong central point for spiritual beings, so she had decided to travel here from Artemis to take a look. She'd only heard tales of the Winter War; a large-scale battle between the Shinigami of the Soul Society, and the Arrancar of Hueco Mundo. Apparently it had taken place in this city, or at least a false version of it. There was a rich history involved with this city that she had only dreamed about, and so she wanted to at least see this place for herself. For some reason, however, this didn't fit the stories--was it simply because she had heard the stories of the war so romanticized? She would look around this place and see just a normal town, with normal people. It was getting late, therefore people were either starting to return home. However, being the weekend, there would also be people mulling around the town. She wandered through the crowds, keeping one hand on the folded weapon on her back. The young Quincy knew what it felt like to have a weapon so close to your heart, and she had no intention of losing it to some person who didn't understand its purpose. Especially if the only value that they saw from it were to be monetary.
Finally passing through the crowd and into the open air on the other side, Roza felt like she could breathe again. She didn't mind people--crowds weren't exactly a bad thing to her. She just preferred to be in an area where she could cut loose if she had to. Too many people meant too many possible casualties, which was not something she felt the need to deal with. Closing her eyes, she stretched and let out a large yawn. Apparently, travelling from plane to train made you a bit drowsy. She'd need to find a place to stay. Looking around, she started to see if she could hunt down a hostel--when two things occurred to her. Firstly, she saw the eyes that were all on her. This wasn't a shock, she was wearing a bright red cloak. However, the second thing that she noticed was something a bit more out of place. A dangerous Reiatsu. "This is what I live for." She smirked and pushed off of the ground--rose petals fluttered behind her as she vanished into the night sky, hunting down the source of the energy. She'd kill this thing, get back to a hostel and sleep away the night. All would be good, and all would be fun.

| [Blake] Karakura Town was still fascinating in it's own way, even after having visited it before. In her own world, there were no towns left as large as this one - at least no populated ones, and ruins weren't exactly known for being all that interesting when you weren't out hunting for lost artifacts. And seeing as Blake was as old as most of those artifacts, she really had no desire to get to them. It was getting late right about the time when Blake stepped out of the library she spent most of her time in. Daylight was a bit uncomfortable to her in high doses - not dangerous, just uncomfortable. And reading was a great way of learning about the world of mankind, so she did that to pass away the time until sunset. The dimming daylight looked beautiful to her yellow eyes as she stepped onto the sidewalk, long black hair flowing behind her and hiding the weapon and sheath on her back from view partially. Much like a Shinigami, she never seperated herself from her weapons, even if she wasn't entirely sure why she cared about material goods in any way. Then again, not knowing the 'why' to her feelings was one of the reasons she even explored this world. The amount of people outside immediately made Blake uncomfortable. So many voices, so many faces and movements... it was dazzling and disorienting. Her cat ears underneath the black ribbon twitched with anxiety, as the beautiful Guardian Beast slipped past as many people as she could... Before she suddenly felt 'something' and stopped right in her tracks. That felt like a lot of 'negative' Reiatsu all at once... A troubling development. Blake had yet to learn everything there was to learn within Karakura, and the innocent people here also didn't deserve to get attacked by such a menacing Reiatsu... With a sigh, Blake suddenly slipped right into the ground, or so it looked at first. In truth, she slipped right into the shadow of the lamp post next to her, only to emerge from a shadow on a rooftop nearby. Startling a few civilians wasn't all that bad, and now, high up, Blake dashed towards the darker energies - not quite realizing that her own energy released by accelerating to a speed near the sound barrier was just as menacing and dark. That was one of the negative aspects of being a Shadow Beast - her Reiatsu was fueled by darkness, not evil, but the difference in aura was virtually non-existant. Blake felt that she wasn't the only one moving towards that darker signature, though - and she could've sworn she just saw a few rose petals in the distance. | |

| Destiny continued onward, not quite realizing yet the energies that were trailing behind her. They weren't exactly Qi heavy energies anyway, one of them actually didn't even have a trace of it. Destiny didn't exactly make it a point to detect others energy, this one was just making itself too blatantly obvious. She continued on through the forest, using her hands to push branches and the like out of the way. When it was something like a bush, she gracefully jumped over it, not even faltering on landing despite her high heels. She didn't really want her clothes to get wrecked. Not that she needed them, she dressed like a business woman but she really wasn't one. She only dressed like that because she liked how she looked in those clothes. She hadn't reached the main source of energy when the roar of a hollow bellowed out from behind her. They were not smart creatures, they always gave away their position. A bug like hollow came hurdling at her from behind. Destiny didn't even turn to look at it, she spun, her right leg dragging along the ground. As she nearly finished the spin she lifted up the leg and smashed her foot straight into the hollow's head. She walked over the the creature as it smashed into the ground, lifting her foot up and stomping the hollow's face in with heel of her high heel. The mask didn't stop it at all, shattering and the hollow's skull being stabbed through. She removed her foot as the hollow's body began to fade. Well, her heel had some hollow blood on it, but it'd hopefully fade like the rest of the hollow eventually.
Obviously whatever it was had friends, and plenty of them. That wasn't going to make this any faster. She was gonna need more high heels. After finishing the first hollow, she continued forward. Of course, the first attack was not very far from the location she was coming in on. As she pushed aside a few branches and stepped out into a clearing, she saw it. At first she didn't notice, because she was brushing dirt off her suit, but upon looking up she saw a human looking figure. It looked male, and it was looking right at her. It's eyes went wide and it got a really creepy looking grin on it's face. "Don't even think about it." Men could be disgusting at times, Destiny knew EXACTLY what was on his mind. Granted, even if he tried anything, she'd be able to kick his ass. It didn't take well to the hasty rejection though, and he let out a strange screech like call. Destiny looked around, wondering what it was even supposed to do. Suddenly from the trees came a bunch of insect like hollow. Some looked like beetles, some like mosquito, etc, etc. Really, bugs? That was what this thing had following it? Bugs?
"Disgusting." Suddenly from the Arrancar's back erupted a tentacle like appendage. "You have GOT to be kidding me." The most blank face imaginable was on her face, tentacles, really? Destiny had not had such a strong urge to splatter someone all over the wall in a long time. She did wonder if she'd need to enter her Seimei no Honō, but she knew that this thing was too pathetic for her to bother going Future Heaven. There were many hollow, some still in the area around the clearing. Destiny turned, punching the beetle like hollow that came in from behind and smashing it into a tree. Unfortunately from there, the Arrancar began trying to attack with those...things it calls appendages. Destiny jumped into the air and twisted her body just before the tentacle changed direction, and she was narrowly able to avoid it. Bringing her foot down, she took this chance to crush the skull of a hornet like hollow, and sending it to the ground before it faded away. Landing on a nearby branch at first, Destiny then hopped off and gracefully glided to the ground. "You're just as annoying as the bugs that surround you." Pulling out a pencil from her suit, she tossed one straight at another hollow, right next to the Arrancar. It flew and went right through the eye socket and somehow had so much force behind it that it penetrated the hollow's brain and killed it. Admittedly, with how many hollow were closing in on her, she'd appreciate a little help.

The fluttering rose petals appearing across Destiny's vision would be the first thing to alert her to the new source of energy to land in the clearing, a young woman kneeling in front of the Hollows with a scythe spreading out behind her, held in one hand at the ready. The Hollows took a moment to recollect themselves before looking down at the youth with menacing smiles, reaching at her in order to take her and molest her. They only saw her as prey, and not a threat that could potentially kill them.
That thought cost them their existences.
A flash of red rushed forwards from the girl's position, leaving behind mere shadows of rose petals that would blow in the wind. Launching herself up into the air, Roza extended her weapon to the side, causing the blade to glow a soft blue as it aimed to slice through the mask of the first beast. Her momentum carried her through the mask, through its body and to the other side, kneeling down as it vanished into nothingness. She heard the screeches of others as they turned on her with their greedy grins. Her body reacted quickly, sheathing the scythe blade and causing the entire weapon to retract into a rifle that she held with both hands. She turned around and started firing, blue bolts of energy blasting their way through Hollow Masks with little effort. Each shot was followed by a 'hup' noise, and as about three more Hollows fell to her weapons, she quickly made her way to Destiny's side with a quick Hirenkyaku, accompanied by more rose petals in the moonlight. She held the rifle over her shoulder and saluted her slightly, recognizing their alliance in this situation as she turned and started firing at more of the Hollows. There were more than she'd expected there to be; this was looking like it could turn out difficult soon. (I apologize for how short and crappy this post is; I wasn't sure exactly how I could do this.)

| [Blake] A few Hollows quickly met their end at the blade of a scythe and the shots of the rifle, after Destiny had killed the first few. A new alliance forged in the fading light of the evening... But it did not seem as if the bug-Arrancar was lacking in followers. The disgusting, twisted evil souls squirmed out of the woodwork like actual insects, driven by hunger and hatred, towards Destiny and Roza... Only for one of them to suddenly fall backwards. A trained eye could see a trail of blood spurting out of the throat of the monster, right behind something metallic that reflected the light - the fast moving object soared through the air and disappeared to some place behind Destiny and Roza, towards the city. Someone with good perception could see a katana flying through the air, held by a long string of what seemed to be cloth. The attack coming from the direction of the town only became more mysterious when something moved out of a shadow right in the middle of the Hollows - only for a flicker of reflected light on metal to be seen, and another two monsters were cut down and fell to the ground, where their forms slowly started to dissipate into nothingness, with what little spiritual presence they had vanishing completely and without a trace. The figure in the shadow looked upon the two fighters in the distance, and as a claw of the Hollows around the figure closed in, the figure disappeared again - sinking into the ground. And with a light step, one that could almost not be heard, the figure seemed to grow out of the shadow of a tree right next to the two fighters. A figure with long, flowing black hair was now visible, with shining yellow eyes - much like those of the Hollows around, the yellow within her eyes seemed to have a light that came from within. The Reiatsu emitted by the shadowy figure was just as dark as theirs, too - oppressive, alien, black like the shadows the female figure came out of. "And so, the dream turns into a nightmare."Blake took a quick glance at the two women who had already started their fight before her arrival. An... incredibly cute girl with a rifle - or was it a scythe? - and a beautiful woman that seemed to radiate strength. Without a word directed at them openly, she stood next to them - in her right hand, a beautiful and cruel black sword, in her left, a large 'sheath' with a cutting edge on one side, acting as a secondary weapon. Even more, a black band of what seemed to be waving cloth attached to both the katana and her right wrist, making it clear that the thrown blade from before was from her hands. As she raised the sword again, there was no hostility within it - but also no regret over what she was doing. The Hollows slaughtered by her - much like those shot by the girl with the rifle - would never reach Soul Society, or any other afterlife. Their existence had just ended - permanently. The tentacled Arrancar did not register as a huge threat to her - mostly because Blake was very, very innocent towards what men associated with tentacles in the vicinity of three women fighting them. "For you, it is time to wake from this dream. Awaken."An odd choice of words before battle, to be sure. But for some reason, this statement held as much threat as any other declaration of intended murder one might've heard before... Whatever Blake meant with the 'dream', it would probably not be pleasant for her to wake someone from it. | |

| Within a few moments, things had turned surprisingly hectic. It happened so quickly that Destiny had trouble keeping track, or rather, she hadn't yet sped up her sense of perception to the appropriate levels for it to register exactly what was happening. A very out of place appearance of rose petals, followed by a woman with a scythe. One unfortunate hollow looked at this girl funny, and subsequently died. The rest had the good fortune of being blasted in the face by a rifle. As the girl landed next to her, she saluted, before continuing to fire upon the hollow. A little trigger happy this one. Also didn't bother to greet Destiny in any way. "Well hello to you too." Destiny spoke as she reached into her shirt, pulling out a ruler. She whipped it against her hand a few times, making a slight cracking sound as it did. Of course, one side of it was sharpened. Destiny didn't have a sword, she had a ruler. Worked just as well for her needs. Cuts flesh all the same, and if she was doing her job right she always hit nothing but flesh.
Yet once more, she was cut off. Suddenly a hollow began to spurt blood from its neck and collapse. Destiny glanced as a blade attached to a string flew back. Either a blade or a really shiny tree branch. Two more hollow found themselves promptly slain, and as a third went in for a strike, it's target vanished. Said target found itself next to Destiny a moment later, and uttered some words about nightmares. "Unsettling." Destiny promptly spoke, commenting on how this girl's actions and words put together were a little...well creepy. There was a cloth attached to both her sword and wrist, which explained the earlier phenomenon. So there they stood. 3 women, armed and ready to fight against a tentacle monster. If it went poorly, it'd suddenly turn into a hentai. Good thing it wasn't going to go poorly. Destiny swung her right arm out, the ruler extended as if it were a real sword, and promptly vanished. It wasn't quite vanishing, but only those with a truly powerful perception, or at least a lot of harnessed spiritual power, would see her clearly. Carefully avoiding the bullets fired by her one ally, 3 blows were struck. A large beetle-like hollow, with an outer shell that looked like it could withstand a building falling on it, found itself blind in both eyes, and within a moment it's head falling to the ground. A shell does no good if all the blows directly target unarmored body parts. Destiny swung out the ruler against a tree with such force it almost sounded like a whip cracked. She used the blunt end and didn't put enough force to break anything, so nothing collapsed, but it was obvious she wasn't playing games. Destiny began to casually walk forward, as a hollow moved in on her she casually whipped her hand and caused the ruler's wide end to crush it's mask. As she did, she observed whatever her makeshift allies were up to. "If we're fighting together, it'd probably be beneficial to know each others' names. I'm Destiny." As a strange clawed hollow tried smashing down on her, but she merely blinked out of existence for a moment. She was in the exact same position as before, and it only lasted for JUST as long as the hollow's claw would have hit her. It was as if there was a graphical bug in a game or something. Admittedly she just dodged and re positioned herself at immense speed.
Pulling another pencil from her shirt, Destiny flicked backwards and sent it, once more, through the eye socket and killed it. She then began to address the Arrancar. "Today was not a day I needed people running around panicking. Yet here you are, dangerously close to the city. If you enter the city, people will freak out." Destiny once more whipped the ruler to make a loud crack. "See where I'm going with this?" If either of the other two looked at her face, they'd see she wasn't in the greatest of moods. With almost a shock wave of wind coming off of her, suddenly Destiny's hair turned blood red, and her eyes a deep purple. A light, yet surprisingly eerie glow enveloped her. Almost instantaneously she had activated her Seimei no Honō. She looked back to the other two. "Get ready, things are going to get a lot more chaotic from here. You (substituted with "Roza" should she have told Destiny her name), please give me cover fire when you have the chance. And you (substituted with "Blake" if she told Destiny her name), if you could keep an eye out and make sure I'm not flanked by any hollow, that'd be helpful. Other than that, how and what you fight doesn't matter to me." The Arrancar merely retained its signature smirk, made even creepier by the apparent pedostach that he had going for him. Destiny waited for a moment, hoping Roza would fire an opening shot on the Arrancar. While that happened, she'd start charging up a future strike. A flash of light from her eyes as energy began to charge in front of her, attuned to her location. Almost undetectable, within a short while (Destiny's next post) the blast would be ready. It'd be stealthy, and quite sudden. Should Roza fire that opening shot, the Arrancar would lash out a tentacle at her before being forced to engage Destiny. From there though he'd use excess tentacles to lash out at Blake and Roza, all the while his mini army tried to kill the two off.
