Personality: Miyako is the opposite of her older sister in practically every way. She's energetic and always keeps herself active. She is one of those people who will start up a conversation with someone just because she felt the room was too quiet. She's extremely outgoing and a person that is very easy to talk to. She sits and listens when she knows that is what is needed and is able to give pretty good advice on many situations to help her friends out. She has such an easy time talking to people that she seems to be able to liven up almost any situation or group of people, and most people do react quite well to her. Because of this, she is able to make friends pretty easily. She can fit in with just about any type of person and is very understanding of certain beliefs and thoughts that other people might have. Even if she doesn't share those beliefs, she can accept almost all ways of living that someone might choose to live by. This acceptance and ability to talk to people so easily helps a big amount with her job. Her job calls for a lot of friendliness, talking, smiles, and definitely a lot of confidence in ones self, all things that Miyako luckily has. Miyako is able to handle herself very well. She reacts well in body and mind, and rarely becomes flustered, blushes, or gets clumsy. She doesn't usually make mistakes, but if she does, they're quite large and practically unforgettable. Miyako's confidence and outgoing nature makes it where she has no problem showing affection to people. She won't hesitate giving someone a hug, even if they aren't a friend. She'll hold a friends hand, whether male, female, acquaintance, or friend. She doesn't have a problem giving a kiss either, though she saves her first real kiss, on the lips, for the man that she feels deserves it. If she does kiss, it'll be on the cheek or forehead, nothing more. Miyako also has this need to prove herself, to get better, to improve. Even if she pushes herself too far, she always wants to be the best, or most impressive. Usually though, this is merely to outshine a certain person.

Miyako likes to be healthy and keep herself fit. She enjoys working out and participating in outdoor activities. Miyako's body has a tendency to put on weight, and that is something she does not like at all, so she always watches her weight. She does this by working out, staying active, and watches what she eats very closely. She always avoids sweets, only eating them on special occasions. Her drinks of choice are water, milk, and orange juice in the mornings. She will very, very rarely pick up a soda or any other kinds of juice, not wanting to fill her body up with simple sugars. She stays away from starches, enjoys meats, and constantly has vegetables. To work out, Miyako heads to the gym, swims, rides a bike, runs, or practices dancing. If she wants to do something a little more time fulfilling, or with friends, she'll also swim again, go hiking, go surfing, camping, or even something like mountain climbing. Miyako has a tendency to be a little daring, so she'll even go so far as to go sky diving or bungee jumping. She likes doing things that others find scary or too crazy. She gets her own rush out of pushing the limit. Miyako is also pretty talented in the singing and dancing department. She was talented enough to be offered a singing gig along side her friend Suzuka at her job. The gig has her singing for children on the weekends, in this adorable pink costume that she loves. When she is not singing, she is serving ice cream to the children and anyone else around the pool and beach area. This job is perfect for her because she loves children, having fun, the beach, swimming, and just being around people period. She always has fun and wouldn't trade this job for anything.

Miyako's relationship with her big sister is interesting, to say the least. Since she was a child, Miyako felt that everything she did was not good enough because her sister had already done it. Her sister was praised, loved, and doted over by many people, while she sat in the background never being given any attention. All of her achievements were treated like they were nothing because their parents had already seen Aiyako do it first. Because of this, Miyako pushed herself further and took advantage of her sisters weaknesses to finally get the spotlight. Miyako knew her sister never really wanted the spotlight anyway, so why not take it from her and use it for someone who actually did want it? Neither of them seemed to have a problem with it. Still, even with this passive aggressive competition that Miyako and Aiyako have between one another, mainly Miyako towards Aiyako, the two of them love each other dearly and will always have each other's backs. Miyako would not ever, ever, ever sacrifice her sisters happiness, health, love, or friendship to gain the spotlight, and she has hoped to prove that over the years. At the same time, even with their acceptance and competition, Miyako ends up overlooking her own positive traits, like the fact that she is the better dancer, cuter in personality, easier to talk to, makes friends easier, harder working, can swim, ride a bike, and many other things that her sister is unable to do. Though, Miyako does have a few things she is jealous of, like the fact that Aiyako has the more angelic voice, considered beautiful, while hers is considered cute. Also, the fact that Aiyako never, ever seems to gain weight, while Miyako has to fight and work all the time to keep it off. Either way, even though they argue and have little quirks in their relationship, they do love each other. In short, Aiyako is always in front of Miyako, but Aiyako always looks back to her sister, stands to the side, and allows her to take the stage, since it's best for the both of them.

Character Background:

Miyako was born on July 1st into a family that was well off, but didn't really want a second child. Her mother was an elementary school teacher and her father was the Head Manager for multiple branches of a single construction company. Her older sister, Aiyako, was their pride and joy. They were always so proud of everything that Aiyako would do, rarely having time or care for their youngest daughter. Miyako was taught almost everything by her older sister. Walking, talking, and reading, Aiyako taught her. Aiyako was only three when they started their little teachings! Someone that age should never have had the responsibility of a parent! A couple of years passed and the two of them were only being home-schooled, even though they were both at the age where they should have started, and Aiyako should have already been in normal school. Miyako realized that their parents were very strict and were intent on making sure neither of them had very much contact with the world beyond their fence, if any contact at all. Yes, their parents built a fence, not to keep people out, but to keep the two of them inside. This wasn't fun for Miyako. She loved being out doors, playing in the yards, and rolling around in the grass. She wanted to make friends and learn about the world outside of their fence. She felt trapped, like she was behind the bars of some cage, and her parents held the key to freedom. To pass the time, Miyako sat around reading fantasy books, which only made her want to know more and more about the outside world. When she asked if she could go, she was told no and her books were taken from her. With that done, she began following her older sister around, watching Aiyako's every move and wondering if she could be like her big sister. Her big sister always seemed to make their parents happy, while she was always glared at and told no. She tried to convince her sister to come outside and play with her, but Aiyako couldn't because of something called "allergies", a concept that she was merely handed a book about and told to read and study it. It seemed that was what she was going to be doing with her time, studying.

Around the age of eleven, she began singing in her room and her sister over heard her. Aiyako came in and the two began singing together, but Miyako noticed very quickly that Aiyako had a much more beautiful voice than she did. Her's was nice, high pitched, and seemed more for pop music, while Aiyako's was angelic and motherly, quite beautiful. Their parents quickly caught on to their talents, or Aiyako's talent, and got them a vocal coach. The coach always concentrated more on Aiyako, ignoring Miyako who was the one who really wanted to learn. After a few months, Aiyako seemed to lose interest in singing and went back to her paintings, telling the coach to finish all the lessons with Miyako. Once her singing lessons "quit", more like her parents stopped paying the person because Aiyako wasn't wanting to do it anymore, Miyako went back to following Aiyako around and spending a lot of time taste testing the food that her sister was cooking and baking. Miyako had to admit that her sister was a very, very good cook and loved her food. She loved it so much, that it was what she ate all the time. Unfortunately, she began gaining weight. She started looking at herself in the mirror with a look of total disgust on her face. Her sister noticed it as well and came up with a whole new set of delicious meals just so that Miyako could have good diet and still eat good food. Of course, when this was brought up, Miyako was extremely embarrassed and began to resent her sister for it, and other things. The feelings of dislike and annoyance were getting strong enough that Aiyako noticed it and confronted her about it. Miyako did her best to hide it and even started a diary to get all of her thoughts out on paper. She was feeling so depressed. She felt ugly, untalented, useless, and like a waste of time. She was honestly giving up on doing anything to make her parents happy. Her diary became the only thing that she felt she could be truthful in. Her hostilities towards her sister, even though she subconsciously knew her sister did not deserve it, began to grow and grow. She ended up not wanting anything to do with her, but since they lived in the same house, it wasn't something that you could just easily avoid.

As time passed, Aiyako began pushing Miyako to do more things for their parents. One thing she started doing was singing for them. She did have a nice voice and finally her parents realized one of the talents she had. They praised her, and even though she hid it well, once she left the room, she cried tears of happiness. Finally, her parents thought she did something good and it made her more determined about her singing. Miyako had no idea that her sister was trying to help make her life better, so she ended up still being quite hateful towards her, even making fun of her eating habits and telling her she was going to get fat. Miyako had started her own cardio and muscle toning work out routine, so she no longer had to worry too much about it. Around the age of fifteen, Miyako thirteen, Miyako decided she wanted to learn to dance and their parents told them both to learn, even though Aiyako was obviously not interested. She and Miyako started dancing at the same time, their parents once again hiring someone to teach them how. And once again, their parents praised Aiyako for her skill and ignored Miyako. That was the final straw. Miyako ran out of the room crying, ready to give up on every thing she had worked for. Suddenly, she heard her sister yelling, which shocked her. That was something that Aiyako never did. Aiyako was quiet and always calm, so this made Miyako curious. She had to go see what was going on. When she got their, she over heard the conversation and Aiyako telling their parents that they didn't only have one daughter, they had two and they needed to live with that. The cliche line of "We love both our children equally" came up and Miyako only rolled her eyes. She felt guilty because of how she treated her sister when Aiyako had realized the same things she had. At the ages of seventeen and fifteen, their parents were told that they had to allow the girls to go to high school, not just sit back and be home-schooled, mainly because people were wondering whether the girls were getting the correct educations. So, that year, they took a test and both of them scored higher than the above average students of the high schools. Having been out of their home for the first time, Miyako decided she wanted it to stay that way and convinced her parents to allow her to go to school. Aiyako and Miyako both attended their first year in school and became quite popular, though Aiyako was at the age where she only needed on year left. She graduated at the age of seventeen and a half, and ended up getting a job, while her sister is still going to school.

Abilities:

Phasing: Miyako's abilities allow her to make her body intangible, allowing her to phase through walls and move through solid objects without collision or interaction. Objects that she passes through are unharmed, and the same goes for her own body. Miyako passes through objects at the same speed she entered them at. Miyako also is only able to fully phase through objects for the duration that she is able to hold her breath, meaning if her head is also inside the object. An example of this would be when and if she needs to travel under ground for any reason. If her head is not inside the object she is phasing through, the duration of her ability to continue phasing depends on the size of the part of her own body that she is using to phase through. Her hands and feet seem to have an unlimited duration, though she's never really tested it. Her legs and arms allow her up to a minute. Her torso and down can have thirty seconds. Now, if she is repeatedly phasing, like phasing then stopping multiple times, she has a limit on how many times she can do that, which is three per post, or thirty per thread. Though her powers do not make her interact with objects she comes in contact with, when she passes through electrical objects, it does disrupt the flow of electricity. This can cause minor power outages, system failures, and things along that line. When she does this to a human being, mainly in the brain area, she can cause them to go into shock, have a stroke, or lose consciousness because it can also slightly disrupt the electrical currents in the brain as well.
