Normal Human Template
Basics
Name: Kouzuki, Yuuko (香月夕呼)
True Age: A man never asks and a woman never tells. (She's about 27)
Gender: Female
Personality: Yuuko's core is simply this: interest and disinterest. She has no negative or positive emotions to things. She won't love someone like out of some cheesy romance novel, nor will she love a younger man. In fact, it's hard to imagine Yuuko falling in love with
anyone. But well, her love life is another story altogether. Unless you have something to offer to Yuuko to pique her interests, you're not going to get anything through to her. In fact, it's normally better to go through the proper channels than it is to try to pique her interests. The main thing she's interested in is progress. Not just scientific, though that is a large portion since she
is a scientist. If things stay the same, then they get boring for Yuuko. If things degrade to something Yuuko's been through, then it's tedious. That's why Yuuko is interested in progress. Whether it be the relationship between two test subjects, a new OS idea, or an entire coup d'etat... as long as things progress, Yuuko wants to watch and possibly participate to make it go her way.
Yuuko... She's more than a little eccentric. To be honest, it's hard for most people to understand what's going on through her mind. And even if someone tries to, they're probably going to be thrown off by her demeanor. If anyone were to describe Yuuko in two words, they would be "Mad Scientist." That's, essentially, how people see Yuuko. She has her pride as an Japanese citizen, meaning she'll speak as just that if the time is necessary. However, to get a conversation like that with Yuuko... well, let's just say that you must have a special sort of skill to be able to talk to her. She talks in an subtly cryptic way. She'll give hints, neglect to mention something on purpose, and other small things to make sure the ones listening understand... or at least that they will understand when the time comes. Let's say she says "I planted a bomb over there." Of course, that means there is a bomb placed at a specific location. And assume that the location is obvious. What she doesn't say is that if the bomb is active, or even if it could explode. She also doesn't mention what kind it is. Things like that are what give Yuuko false charisma. However, this false charisma is what lets Yuuko get her way. The way Yuuko makes a deal is simple. She makes it so where she always benefits greater than the other party. In fact, the other party doesn't matter to Yuuko as long as they won't get in her way. She may even make the deal so the other party ends up assisting her in the end. That's how Yuuko works.
General Appearance
Appearance: - Spoiler:
Appearance Age: Early-mid twenties
Height: 170cm
Weight: 52kg
Natural Abilities
Natural Abilities: Although she doesn't use it for powers, Yuuko does have higher-than-average spiritual power. The closest thing it allows her to do is to interact (as in touch) spiritual beings. Somehow, she was able to get her hands on a yellow Lancia Stratos in mint condition. While the details of the shady transaction are unknown to everyone but her... it's not a car to play around with. The car is supercharged with 560 hp. Her driving skills are impeccable, and are a cross between rally racing and tactical driving. She can accelerate, decelerate, turn, break, etc. all at nigh-impossible speeds. While being on the road around her is dangerous, it's just as dangerous to be in the bucket seat beside her.
Can See Spirits: Absolutely.
Past & Roleplay Sample
Character Background: Yuuko was always interested in science. From an early age, she'd have chemistry sets up and running from morning to night. She was, essentially, a genius in her own world. She never did reports on "How this butterfly's wings function," but on "Why the color could affect aerodynamics." And that wasn't all. She'd do crazy experiments such as creating machines that were essentially a PS2 and a microwave attached to one another... and somehow it'd create something new. God knows how she got her hands on a PS2, but the fact was she did. And even with her strange ideas, she still managed excellent grades. She graduated a year earlier than usual. However, she had begun research on a new type of theory related to what would become her specialty. At 17 years old, she submitted a paper on her own original theory, the "Quantum Causality Theory", which caught the eye of the ESF's science committees later on in her life in 2090.
This resulted in her admission to the Hakuryou University's Applied Quantum Physics Laboratory in order to hasten fundamental research on the next plan. The ESF eventually invited her at the age of 20 to advance the verification of quantum causality theory. During her time in Hakuryou University, Yuuko made only a single friend... whom she still is in contact to this day. While also working on her research in Applied Quantum Physics, Yuuko also attained a teaching degree and lisence. She initially worked from the Hakuryou University's Applied Quantum Physics Laboratory as the head in 2095, and after the establishment of ESF Forward Laboratory Yokohama Base in 2099, had her base of operations shifted to Yokohama Base on her request, where she is also currently acting as the vice-commander. Having almost complete authority in the base, she is known to be someone to do ask absurd requests, and she has been known to do even more absurd experiments—she once claims that she "moved" a cat with her microwave-PS2. How, even she can't explain it... but she still claims it happens. In the off-season, Yuuko teaches at various high schools to get a perspective on how the science programs in the country are doing and to see if there is anyone of interest that she could recruit.
