| It was just getting too hard for her to deal with it all. She lost everything that she cared about. Her son was taken from her, her husband ditched her for another woman, she lost her home, and was forced to live on the streets for a while. Then, when everything was starting to seem so much better for her and things were calming down, she foolishly moves into another relationship. Of course it ended on a horribly bad note. He attacked her while drunk. She left and now here she was. She opened the door to the roof of a random tall building she walked into. There was nothing in her mind that was telling her to turn around and go the other way. She wasn't hesitating at all. She walked to the edge of the building and looked over the side. She didn't even feel fear. She didn't have to. She was doing this to die. As she tried to move over the small concrete wall that was obviously there for safety, her dress prevented her from doing so. Not caring, she reached down and took hold, ripping it to allow her to maneuver much easier. She then stepped over the concrete wall and out onto a ledge. She was at least fifteen floors up. The wind blew through her hair, which really only relaxed her.
"Well this is it..." she thought calmly. She kicked off her high heels and tossed them behind her. She may want to die herself, but tossing shoes off of something that high would only cause problems for others. With that done, she looked forward and stared at the sun slowly dropping over the hills in the distance, soon to allow darkness to fall over Japan. Kanna took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and without even the slightest hint of hesitation in her movements stepped forward. She leaned in and pushed herself over the edge of the building, raising her arms outwards beside her as her hair began to lift from the mere start of the fall. And then... she fell....

| It was a bright and sunny day throughout Karakura. Judging from the weather, it would seem as if nothing bad could happen. The sunbeams hit the ground with strength and purpose, though it wasn’t that hot outside. This was the perfect day, it was thought, to go out and just enjoy the sunlight. The Grand Commander of the Vizard Squadron was one person with such thoughts. It was in downtown Karakura, and Snopy was in his Gigai. He was integrated into society, and thus he had a “life” not related to the spiritual. Of course, it didn’t seem to be much as he didn’t have a regular job. This was simply because running the Vizard Squadron was a lot of work, and he didn’t need more. He generated enough funds from the Vizard Squadron to support himself, with quite a bit of excess money for leisure if he wanted, so he didn’t bother getting another job. He almost took one earlier, but decided not to a the day before ago. Today would’ve been his first day on the job, and at this very moment he would’ve been at work.
As he walked down the street he took in the air, which of course wasn’t as pleasing as it was in the park. Still, he wasn’t in the dirtiest of cities, so it wasn’t all too bad. He was on his way, at this time, to Karakura Forest. He was just going to take in nature and all of its beauty for a bit. The route he wanted to take was closed to to a crash, so he was detoured the long way. He had been stalled quite a bit today. He was supposed to leave his house an hour earlier, but a friend showed up and they talked for an hour. The friend would have stayed longer, but he had an urgent call from his job and had to leave. That was when Snopy took the chance to head out.
He was walking past several skyscrapers, not paying attention to any spiritual presences in the area. The only one he was attempting to lock onto was anything hollow, but there were none at the moment. Thus, he didn’t notice the spiritual signature slowly rising to the top of a skyscraper a few blocks ahead. As such, he continued to walk for those few blocks. He was about to turn the corner and head away from the skyscraper mentioned earlier, but something caught his attention. An airplane was flying overhead, and upon hearing the sound, he looked up out of instinct. That is when he saw it. A woman with a ripped skirt standing on top of the skyscraper. Is that...person...jumpiiii-OH SHIT! As he spoke the woman allowed herself to fall from the building. Without even thinking, Snopy ran forward in the blink of an eye. At the same time he called out. Hado #58, Tenran. He launched out a gust of wind at the woman, which upon hitting her would slow her down quite a bit. This would hopefully prevent her from breaking her neck. His speed was truly immense, even in his Gigai he was able to go faster than most cars driving on the road (though there were none at the moment). Still, he wished he could use his Shunpo at a time like this. She was a few buildings down, and that Shunpo would have really helped. He quickly reached the area beneath where the woman was falling, just in time to reach up his arms and catch her. The force of her fall made him stumble a bit, but somehow he maintained balance. Phew, that was close. Snopy didn’t initially put the woman down, but if she asked, he’d put her down. At the moment though, he was taking a breather after an event like that, and thus not thinking about it.

| And when she fell something within her felt completely free. All she had to do was continue this fall and all of her pain and agony would end. She would move on and never have to feel the pain of this world again. Unfortunately that was not going to happen. Something else interfered with what she thought she desperately wanted. A gust of wind, one that was strong enough to slow her down enough to where she could tell she wasn't falling as fast as she was only moments ago. Her eyes opened, slightly narrowed because of the air hitting them. The ground was close now, but with how much she had just been slowed, would it kill her? She only hoped. And then another interference. She was grabbed, caught by someone she did not know. Immediately her eyes dulled as this person held her in the manner of a princess. She looked up to the top of the building, not even acknowledging him for the moment. She blinked once, her eyes as lifeless as a dead person. She blinked twice, the color began to return. She blinked thrice and her eyes were normal. Tears filled them. She set her hand on her stomach as she continued to stare upwards towards the top of the building. "I-I... s-survived...." she thought to herself as she glanced momentarily to her 'savior'. She then lowered her head to face in front of her, the tears falling from her eyes and down her cheeks. Her hand tightened down on her shirt, clenching it tightly. She took in a breath, though it sounded chopped up and stressed. She raised her other hand to her forehead, held her breath for only a moment... and...
"WHYYYYYYYYYY!!!!????" Kanna screamed at the top of her lungs, not caring at all about the people that might here. A horror and pain filled shriek echoed up and down the street, meeting any inhabitants ears, though from immediate glance there were none. Those who heard would immediately be able to tell the pain that she felt. She wanted nothing more than death and when she finally got up the courage and told herself she was going to do it, she was stopped. There was no way she was going to be able to bring up the courage to do that again. She curled herself in his arms, still treating him as if he wasn't even there. Her body began to tremble as she clenched her hair within her hands, hard enough to pull a few strands out. Kanna was devastated.

| As he caught her, he was not thanked for saving her. That was something he knew would happen. After all, a person jumps off a building with the goal to kill themselves. Not many people were okay with their goals being stopped. All she gave was a distressed scream, with motions to go with it. She was obviously very upset she had been stopped. Snopy immediately felt for her, but he did not regret saving her. To him, life is not something worth wasting. No matter how bad things were, there was always the chance it would get better. As she pulled at her hair, he tried to calm her. Easy, easy. Calm down, don't do that to your hair. He spoke kindly, but firmly at the same time. At the moment, she was just curling up and screaming, so he wouldn't put her down until she requested it. That scream she had let out, it was so unsettling though. It was nothing less than a shriek. What had happened to this woman? What could have caused her so much pain that when she failed to kill herself she would scream in misery? It was no experience Snopy could fathom, because he would never think of suicide. He never understood what good killing one's self would do. Though he wasn't about to ask about the finer points of killing yourself.
Unsure of how to comfort this woman, he did what he could. Are you okay? You aren't hurt are you? It seemed kind of silly to ask, as she was obviously hurt on the inside. Yet he wasn't sure what to say to this random woman who had only screamed why. He took the chance to actually look at this woman. She was, to put it lightly, very beautiful. she had long beautiful white hair. She had a slender body with an hourglass shape. She also had a rather large bust. She was quite attractive, and Snopy could tell. However, he was not focused on how attractive she was for the moment, as considering the recent string of events he had to make sure she wasn't about to try to kill herself again. He didn't care how bad she wanted to die. No one should simply end themselves like that. This woman didn't seem like a bad person, and she obviously didn't deserve whatever had been given to her. Whatever torture she was forced through was something meant for another. The grim reaper had locked onto the wrong target, and now Snopy had to hold him at bay.

| Her body continued it's trembling, though even Kanna could not tell whether it was out of anger or fear. Anger about the fact that she was just stopped, or fear of continuing on with this wretched life of hers. She once again took in a stress breath, trying desperately to calm herself down enough to function properly. She heard his voice and was reminded that she was being held. She listened to him and dropped her hand from her hair. Well it wasn't really listening, compared to just momentarily giving up. She heard him speak again, though she could not look to his face. She didn't want to deal with the things she assumed he would say. Things like, "What do you think you were doing?" or "What is the point of killing yourself?" No. She didn't want to hear it. No one would understand the agonizing pain that she had been going through for years. "Put me down." she said rather coldly, though she didn't really give him the chance. She kicked her legs to the side, away from him, and placed them firmly on the ground. She looked around to see where she was. She had no idea. In fact, she didn't even know what part of town she was in. She had just kept walking until she had gathered up the nerve to kill herself and then climbed the tallest building in the area.
Then she heard it. There was a low rumble of cars just a few yards down. "Main Street..." she mumbled to herself. She knew then that it was time to try once more. She paid no attention to the strange man that 'saved' her life and began walking towards Main Street. She made it to a corner and looked up and down the street. Yes. Now she knew where she was. It was the perfect place. It was always so busy here. Usually she wouldn't do anything to mess with someone else's day, but since her first attempt had failed, here came number two. While the light was green, she moved to step out into on coming traffic. But it wasn't just any car. She purposely waited for a larger truck to come driving down the hill. He wouldn't be able to stop in time and death seemed impossible to avoid if something so large hit her. So, once again, she took that first step.

| The woman coldly stated she wanted to be put down. He would've done it anyway, but he wasn't given the chance. She forced her way from his arms and landed, looking around. She stated it was main street after a few moments of observation. Did she really not know where she was? It was this realization that made Snopy realize even more how messed up this woman must have been. She just picked some random building in some random spot and jumped off. Yea, this is Main Street. That was all he said as the woman just walked towards the street. She obviously had no intention of thanking him, and was more likely to yell at him than anything. [color=violet]Hey, you still haven't answered my quest... He stopped short as she stopped on the sidewalk next to the road. She wouldn't. He thought, though he began moving in her direction. Then the light turned green. The moment it did, her body began to move. She would. Snopy began running without hesitation and grabbed her by the arm, pulling her back in time for the truck to barely miss her.
He brought her onto the sidewalk where there wouldn't be any way for a car to hit her. He just had to say it. It seems you are intent on killing yourself, however I'm afraid my conscience won't allow me to sit back and allow you to do so. I don't know what happened to you, though from what I've gathered it must have been really bad, but there has to be some other answer than killing yourself. He let out a sigh before continuing. Oh, that was rude of me, I still haven't told you my name. I am Snopy Saika, may I ask yours? And while I'm at it, may I ask what happened that has made a beautiful woman like you so resolute on killing yourself? He stood and observed this woman's actions. She was rather small compared to him, she was just above 5 feet while he was just above 6 feet. He had to tilt his head down in order to look at her face. Here he noticed she had a very pretty face and eyes as well. Nothing seemed unattractive about this woman, he wondered how bad her life could have been.

| And again! Kanna was interrupted again! She felt her arm be grabbed rather roughly and had no time to retaliate. She was pulled back from the road and the truck that was going to hit her honked it's horn as it drove by. It was then that something in her mind clicked. What the hell was she doing? Did she really want to just die? She asked herself these questions, but each time she was unsure of the answer. She had been so sure only a few moments ago. She was sure enough to try to commit suicide twice! She knew what happened. It was this man. She looked to him as he began talking to her. Her eyes were void of any obvious emotions. She stared at him as he talked, telling her that his conscious was not going to allow her to end her own life. "What does it matter to him?" she thought, confused about this man's intentions. No. Wait. She knew what his intentions were. It was just like her ex. When she was down on her luck and was unhappy with everything, he came around and acted nice. He pretended to care. Yes. That was what this man was trying to do as well. She wasn't going to fall for it. Never again will she fall for such lies and deceit. She heard his name. "Weird..." she thought as she narrowed her eye in suspicion at him, showing the first valid emotion since she screamed before.
"Let me go!" she said and jerked her arm from his hand. She stared at him, taking a step back. Bringing her arms up and wrapping them around herself, she stared at him like he had gone insane. "What are you doing?" she asked him with anger in her tone, "Nothing about this situation has anything to do with you, so why do you keep stopping me?! This is the second time! Don't you think someone who has tried to kill themselves twice within five minutes of you seeing them is likely extremely serious and determined about ending their life?! What gives you the right to stop me!?" Obviously it wasn't her intention to answer his questions at the moment. They were none of his business and why was he interested in the first place? Most people just look the other way when they see something bad happen, so why the hell was he interfering with her?! It was irritating, though admittedly slightly intriguing.

| The woman stared at him, and he could see her cold dead eyes. She seemed almost lifeless, though that lifelessness faded quickly. She shouted for him to let her go, and then, once more without giving him a chance to comply, jerked her hand away herself. She wrapped her arms around herself, and looked at him with eyes seemingly filled with insanity. As she asked what he was doing, she was noticeably angry. She wanted to die, and twice she was stopped. She finally asked him what right he had to stop her. He simply looked at her with dead serious eyes.
What gives me the right? Well my dear lady, right is a subjective term. A communist regime can outlaw speaking against the police force's actions, which would make, lets say, speaking against a police officer murdering a young child against the law. Now just because speaking out isn't a person's right in that case, people will still do it, because no person in their right mind can condone that type of action. Now back to the point. The right of which you ask of me, odds are I have no right. My conscience however, guides me to do as I feel is right. Even if others do not agree, I follow what my heart decrees, for it is a command in which I hold in higher regard than heaven itself. I stopped you because I see nothing wrong bad about you as a person, at least at a glance. I don't know what you went through, and even if I did I wouldn't be able to fully understand it. I do feel though, that there is a better way to solve this without you ending your life. With how little information I have I don't know what it is, but I feel in my heart of hearts that it is there. So yes, I stopped you from dying twice, and I am prepared to do it thrice. I will keep doing it until we can find a solution that doesn't involve you killing yourself. If you are wondering why me, a stranger, is trying so hard, it is simply because everyone should get what they deserve out of life, and from what I can tell, you've been cheated out of a better life that you deserve.
He took a deep breath after his long monologue. That was a lot of info, so he felt he should simplify it. Sorry, on occasion I get into these long-winded speeches, so let me actually just get to the real point. I hate death and misery. I don't care if you are a complete stranger, I want to see if I can help and make things better. This I speak from the bottom of my heart. Now, may I please know your name? He spoke kindly, and with all the truthful sincerity he had. He really did want to help this woman, as there was something about her he couldn't shake. Like, he wanted to help her because he felt bad for her. He really felt some horrible wrong was done to her, and that he needed to help. And he was going to help, whether she wanted it or not.

| Okay this is unexpected. This man, who's name escaped her due to her lack of attention when he said it, was actually talking about people speaking out against police? Wait.. was he comparing that to this situation? Kanna wasn't an idiot. She was actually rather intelligent, but this was just odd for her. Her mind was not exactly in the "I'm happy to listen" mood. After a few moments she closed her eyes tightly, shook her head, waved her hands, but he kept talking. She stepped in closer to him and placed both of her hands over his mouth to silence him. "Stop." she said with widened serious eyes, "Just... stop..." She slowly lifted her hands from his mouth. She saw that he was about to start up again and went to silence him, but this time he sighed and then apologized for this thing he called a "long-winded speech". Kanna took a step back again, returned her arms to their previous position, which was pretty much hugging herself. She glanced around for a moment, feeling emotionally weakened, and then she turned back to him. It was then that she noticed his height, his blonde hair, and two different colored eyes. She didn't know why, but the moment she made eye contact with him, she wasn't able to look away. She blinked a few times, still staring as he once again asked her name.
"Kanna...." she mumbled a bit and then cleared her throat, speaking a little louder, "It's Kanna." Finally she was able to pull her stare away from him. She felt quite tiny in his presence, which was actually good and bad on her end. She didn't mind feeling tiny next to someone. Tall was always something she had been attracted to, but the things she had been attracted to also beat her. She suddenly felt even weaker than before. All of the adrenaline from trying to kill herself left her system. She brought her hand up to her head and immediately felt dizzy. "I don't feel well..." she said with slightly slurred words. Kanna fought to continue standing, but her legs buckled beneath her and she fell.

| He was unable to finish the monologue before the woman cut him off. She just told him to stop, and as she asked, he did. As he apologized for it, he saw her revert to hugging herself in obvious distress. Then she made eye contact. At that moment, it seemed like she couldn't look away from him. She ended up blinking a few times before he finally asked her name again. This time, he got a response. Her name was Kanna. He didn't get a last name, but he didn't need it quite yet. After revealing her name, she finally cut eye contact. Then she seemed to weaken in a mere moment. It was emphasized by how she laid her hand on her head. She even stated that she didn't feel well. The words didn't quite come out right, they were slurred. And then she lost all balance. Her legs buckled and she went tumbling down, or she would have. Snopy, however, moved in once more and grabbed onto her, catching her in her fall. She was now leaning back into him while his arms supported her.
That was another close one. I know we just met but...I still want to know. What happened to you? What happened that caused you to become so depressed and weak? The same sincerity he had the entire time still remained in his tone. He continued to hold onto her, as to keep her from falling. What kind of horrific inhumane torture have you had to endure? That was the only way he could describe anything that caused this much pain. It could only be torture, it could only be inhumane. It could only be something he would probably beat someone half to death for putting someone through. It took quite the asshole to make Snopy want to beat him half to death, but if Kanna was depressed due to someone's selfish and cruel actions, that would be something to warrant that feeling.

| This man really was an unexpected one. When she fell, his immediate reaction was to catch her. As she felt her body lean into his, she raised her head upwards to look towards him. "He... caught me..." she thought to herself as she was once again asked a question. "What is your name?" she asked him, not only ignoring his question, but making it evident that she had also ignored the mention of his name. She didn't mean to, completely, but her mind obviously wasn't in a normal place. Though now, her mind had been slightly settled by talking to someone for a change. She always had the little old lady at the store to talk to, but that didn't help very much. Once he answered her, she'd sigh and attempt to stand up. Once again her body went weak and her legs buckled under her, but this time she grabbed onto his shirt out of reflex and kept herself standing. She began breathing very deep and fast, as if something had startled her. She stayed like that for a moment and then slowly turned her head towards him, staring at her hand with wide eyes and an extreme amount of fear in them. "I-I'm sorry..." she said, stuttering as she let go of his shirt. She closed her eyes tightly and hugged herself again, looking away as if she was waiting for something to happen. Her body began to tremble just like it had before, except this time she was actually fearing something. "Please don't..." she mumbled very quietly under her breath. | |

| Kanna once more asked Snopy his name, which was a little odd. However, considering her weak emotional state, it made sense in a way. Snopy, Snopy Saika. It is a pleasure to meet you Kanna. He said in a pleasant voice, hoping it would cheer her up a bit. Obviously it wouldn't, but he could hope. The woman sighed and attempted to go back on her feet, but they refused to comply and she went back down. However, this time she grabbed onto his shirt in an attempt to stay up. It seemed normal for a moment, but then her breathing get really fast. She slowly tilted her head up and looked at her hands, then to him, with an unimaginable amount of fear in them. She then apologized for something, but he couldn't fathom what. She then let go of his shirt. She closed her eyes and hugged herself. She seemed like she was scared of something. Snopy even heard her mumble under her breath, asking him not to do something. He gently placed his hand on her head and patted it gently a bit, in a comforting way.
What are you talking about? You have nothing to apologize for, it isn't your fault you're a little weak right now. His tone was obviously quite puzzled, why was she apologizing. Why was she asking him not to do something. And you say "please don't", what...do you mean by that? The way you cringed, did you think I was going to hit you or something? If that is the case, then I have to tell you I would never do that, and I don't know where you would get that idea from. If that isn't the case, then I have no clue what you are talking about. He stood and waited for some sot of response, some enlightenment on her words and why she said them.

| This time his name was heard. She noticed he insisted on including his last name. Why? This man trusted people way to easily. In her opinion, he was now slightly insane. After she had apologized, he set his hand on her head. She flinched the moment it made contact, but when it didn't hurt she looked up to him with a confused and still suspicious look in her eyes. She glanced him up and down and decided that it was about time that she calmed down. The only reason she was acting so helpless and frightened was because of her lack of energy and because of how weak she felt. Never would she react in this manner if she was her normal self. The fact of the matter was, she needed to get home, eat, and rest. His questioning of her apology was understandable. He of course didn't know what she had been through. She said nothing and he continued on. The moment he asked if she thought he was going to hit him, she nodded. In fear of his reaction, she turned away from him again. "I wanna go home..." she mumbled just loud enough for him to hear, although her voice sounded raspy, like she was holding back. She said nothing more to him. She turned towards the direction she knew she must go and began walking. For a single moment, she though about trying to kill herself once more, glancing up to the on coming cars as she began walking up Main Street. "I'm... just too tired..." she thought to herself. Too tired to kill yourself? No. That's not what it was. She was saved from doing so twice today. Her mind wasn't in it. Just like so many days before, she was going to try to continue on with her life, at least for this day. Who knows what would go through her mind tomorrow? And so she continued on her way home, not even saying goodbye or thank you to Snopy Saika, the man that became her savior today. | |

| Kanna was silent for much of the time, showing no real reactions at first. However, when Snopy got around to asking if she thought he would hit her, she nodded in the affirmative. She simply turned after that before Snopy could even react, and she stated she wanted to go home. This actually was something Snopy was about to suggest himself, as someone in her condition should not be walking the streets. However, he was not simply going to let her walk away, he was determined to help this woman, though some of the reasons he didn't quite understand. She began to walk away without him, but he ran in front of her and blocked her path. Well, getting you home sounds like a good idea. From what I can tell, you aren't exactly in the best condition to be walking around in the streets. However, I can't let you just walk off on your own. I don't know if you are actually going home or trying to find another place to kill yourself, which as I said my conscience would not allow. Not to mention I want to make sure you are definitely okay before I leave you, and I want to see if there is some way in which I can help you.
Snopy stepped off to the side and motioned for her to continue. By all means go ahead, just know I'm next to you every step of the way. Oh, and don't worry, I don't know why you thought I was going to hit you, but I have no intention of doing so, nor do I have the intention to hit you later. The fact of the matter is, I will not hurt you. Even if you don't believe me, you'll find out soon enough. With that, if the woman decided to keep walking, he would walk alongside her. If she was to stumble, he would keep her on her feet. Don't worry, if you start to fall I will catch you. If she didn't start walking, he would simply stay by her and respond as he saw fit. Though if she tried to make him go away, he would have to refuse. He was here to save this woman, and he was going to save this woman, even if she wasn't happy about it. After all, he feels that she was somehow wronged in a horrible way and that someone needed to correct it. It seemed that someone had to be him.

| Kanna was stopped once again by this man. He stepped in front of her and began to repeat his previous statements about not letting her hurt herself. "You're a persistent one, aren't you?" she raised an eyebrow at him. It was like her weakened demeanor had changed. She was more in her normal state of mind now. "Fine..." she said as he stepped off to the side. She began walking in the direction of her home for the second time. He was right though. For a moment there, she had actually contemplated jumping right back out into traffic. In a way, his presence might be the only thing keeping her alive. Of course, it's not like she couldn't do something else to herself when she got back home. The fear of more pain was what was making her want her death to be instant. She would have used a gun, but getting one wasn't very easy for her. It wasn't a process she really knew how to get through. So now, Kanna was walking along the street with a persistent man refusing to leave her side. She was walking with good posture now, not so slumped over and weakened. Though, she still kept about three feet between the two of them. "Why are you so interested in keeping me alive?" Kanna asked him, "And don't come back with that "my conscious" stuff. I don't believe that for crap. If you're going to stalk me all the way home, I would prefer you be honest with me." | |

| As he stopped her, she merely commented on his persistence. This made him chuckle a bit. Indeed, I am quite the stubborn one, as some friends of mine enjoy pointing out. She had changed her demeanor. she no longer seemed weak. This was, what Snopy assumed, how she normally acted, that or she seriously was upset at him and was twisting her personality to fit. Though odds were it was the first one. She reluctantly agreed and allowed him to go with her and take her home. She began to walk, at a distance, alongside him. She was walking more properly now, her posture much more lady-like than her previous weakened posture. She finally asked Snopy why he wanted to keep her alive. She also bluntly stated she does not believe his conscience has anything to do with it, and wanted him to be honest.
You want me to be honest? Well then. I was being honest when I said my conscience played a large part, that is what made me save you the first time. I would be lying to say that it was still my main motivation. It is true, my conscience still plays a role, but it is no longer lead. Why am I trying so hard? Why am I going as far as to take you home to make sure you are okay? There is something about you. I can't put my finger on it, but something about you interests me. I'm not sure what it is, but it is there. I want to stay around you for a bit and see if I can't put my finger on it. Maybe there is some reason for it, maybe it's my imagination. The only way I will know is if I try to find out. And if I can save your life in the process, and possibly help you in some way? Well that is an added bonus. There it is. He just gave Kanna the whole truth of it. He was so persistent because he wanted to see if there was anything behind his intrigue. Yet even if there wasn't, at least he would end up hopefully helping this woman in the process.

| As she walked along side this persistent man, Kanna kept her eyes looking straight forward. She was getting slightly irritated. She glanced to the right, staring at him with slightly narrowed eyes. "You talk a lot..." she said, interrupting him about half way through, "I get it. Fine. Your conscience is what is making you stalk me. You don't have to have a speech about it." Kanna looked away from him and towards the street as they walked. She realized then where they were. She pretended to know before because she naturally recognized Main Street, but now she knew exactly where she stood. She sighed and picked up the pace. As she came to a corner, she turned to the right and began heading down that direction. And then suddenly she stopped without warning. Her eyes widened as she saw a group of people across the street. A man, a woman, and two young boys. They were walking in her direction, but on the opposite side of the street. She merely watched them as they continued walking passed her, not giving her even a single glance. Once they fully passed, Kanna turned away and continued walking, fighting the tears that threatened to form in her eyes. Once again, the feeling returned. She wanted nothing more than to end her life. "I hate this..." she mumbled as she continued walking, setting a hand on her forehead. | |

| As they walked, Kanna cut him off saying he didn't need to make a speech about it. She then glanced at him, saying he talked a lot. I apologize for that. I do tend to get a bit wordy with my responses, it is an accident. He decided to leave it at that for now, as they continued to walk. They continued forward for awhile before out of nowhere, Kanna stopped. She stared wide-eyed at the people across the street. Snopy glanced over to look. He saw what looked like a couple, and 2 young children, both boys, were with them. Kanna simply stared as they walked past. Um Kanna? He said as she continued staring. Are you okay? Kanna? Once past she began to walk again, Snopy moving as well to keep up. All that she said was a simple "I hate this", barely audible, but Snopy could hear it. Those people were obviously ones that Kanna knew. No random people walking down the street would elicit that kind of response. Why was she so upset? He could see the sheer pain in her eyes when she had looked at them. Though what it could be he couldn't fathom. He remained silent for a few moments before speaking. Are you okay? Why did you look so hurt just now...did those people do something to you? He wished he could have asked in a better way, but he couldn't think of one. Though he knew the answer to his question. Yes, they, or at least one of them, had done something to her. Why else would horror overtake her like that? I wonder...if they have anything to do with why she was trying to kill herself...maybe I'm about to get some answers after all, that is if she is willing to talk to me. | |

| They were getting closer to the street that Kanna lived on. It wasn't exactly in the nicest part of town. It was slightly run down and definitely what people would call the "slums". She passed by a store, glanced inside, and waved to an elderly woman. The woman waved back, but Kanna did not go inside. She continued on her way and stayed silent, thinking about how to now answer the difficult question that Snopy asked. She wondered to herself why she was even contemplating explaining to a stranger the troubling points of her life. She wasn't an open person, at least not anymore. That changed years ago when she was pretty much forced to stay in doors and bend to her ex-husbands every will. She kept quiet, ignoring his question for now. They were here. She stopped in front of a decent sized building, obviously a normal apartment building that wasn't well taken care of. She glanced to him, a small hint of shame and annoyance in her eyes. She didn't feel like this was a place she should be forced to live, especially when she once had a wonderful house with a comfortable way of living. She quickly looked away from him and stepped up the few cracked stone steps that lead to a single door entrance. She reached for the door handle and pulled, realizing it was locked. She sighed, shaking her head. It was like this world couldn't even give her the smallest of breaks.
"Damn it..." she mumbled and then looked around. No one was on the street. She knew there were no camera's for this building and from what she could tell by looking through the window, no one was in the hallway. She glanced to Snopy and raised an eyebrow. Obviously she was about to do something. She balled up her fist and slammed it into the glass window. It shattered, cutting up her hand a bit. She reached in and towards the lock, unlocking it and then opening the door. She stepped inside and then stopped, looking towards him. "Are you gonna be following me upstairs too, or are you stopping here?" Although she wasn't showing too much of it, the look in her eyes showed that she still felt horrible and looked like she wanted nothing more than to cry her eyes out.

| As they walked Kanna refused to answer his question. Snopy, for the moment, decided to drop it. Perhaps in time she would be a bit more willing to answer his question. They had now entered the slums of Karakura, a place Snopy didn't usually come into. On occasion he would take out a hollow, or on rare occasion stop some criminal, but other than that he never entered here. He wouldn't say that to Kanna, if this was where she lived, he did not wish to insult her home in any way. It wasn't a place Snopy liked, but considering what he saw, there was a reason she was there, and it probably wasn't her fault. As they passed by one store, Kanna waved to an old woman within, who waved back. Snopy didn't want to seem rude, so he waved to her as well. Soon enough they stopped in front of an average sized apartment building. Obviously someone dropped the ball when it came to managing repairs, so the place was old and decrepit looking. This was yet another aspect Snopy wouldn't make a point to point out. When she glanced at him, there was a mixed feeling from it. She seemed annoyed a stranger was seeing she lived her, but also ashamed that she lived here.
The two went up the old steps, which made Snopy feel a little unsettled considering they seemed they might give way under his feet, even though they were stone. There was no way it was even possible, but they were so old they seemed like they could. As they reached the top, Kanna reached out her hand and tried to open the door, but it was locked. She cursed as she glanced around to make sure no one was around, then she slammed her fist through a window. As glass flew everywhere Snopy raised his arm up to block incoming shards from his eyes. He almost commented that he could have gotten in much cleaner and without damaging anything, but since it would require the use of either spiritual powers or lock picking, a very shady skill to have, he decided against it. The last thing he needed was more distrust from this woman. Though he finally noticed the slight spiritual aura she gave off. He wondered if she could sense his energy, or if she just happened to have spiritual power. He shrugged it off as the woman opened the door.
She turned to him and asked if he was going to follow her. She looked very upset, so naturally Snopy couldn't leave. I'm coming up. I still want to make sure you're okay, and to talk with you a bit. I came this far, and I kinda want to get to know you now. He said smiling to her, performing an exercise in futility trying to comfort her with his cheeriness. This woman was intriguing to say the least. Snopy really was beginning to want to know more about her. It was no longer solely to help a stranger out. He had come this far after all, he may as well go all the way. Well, lead the way.

| "Yeah... yeah..." she rolled her eyes and turned back towards the stairs. There was an elevator that she could have taken, but for some reason she refused to. She began her way up the stairs, holding onto the railing rather tightly with each step. "You probably just want to find out where I live. No one just randomly wants to get to know someone that they just met." Kanna got to a certain point of the stairs and quickened her pace, hurrying up each story until she came to the fourth floor. She hadn't even locked her door when she left because she hadn't planned on coming back. As she arrived at her apartment, she opened the door and stepped inside. "Well here we are..." she said and stepped off to the side to allow him to pass her by. Once he did, she'd close the old wooden door and walk over to a couch. The inside wasn't that bad, mainly because she tried her best to keep it clean and make it look nice. She worked rather hard for the stuff she had in this apartment. Currently, they stood in the living room, which also connected to the kitchen. There was a small table that acted as the dining room table, but it only held a maximum of four people. The kitchen was small, but had a stove and sink, no dishwasher. In the living room was a small TV, one couch, and a table in front of the couch. "Eh..." Kanna walked over to the couch and sat down, curling her knees up to her chest as she set her hand on her head. She still wasn't feeling to well. After a small sigh, she looked up to Snopy and raised an eyebrow. "So what now? I'm home. I'm safe. You know where I live... What are you wanting?" | |

| Kanna simply rolled her eyes at Snopy's statement, obviously not believing him. They went up the stairs, despite there being an elevator (a fact Snopy was unaware of). Kanna retorted further to Snopy's statement by stating there was no way he just wanted to get to know her, since she was a random stranger. Snopy chuckled a bit. I understand why you would think that, I will admit it is rather odd. He left it at that for now as they continued up the flights of steps. At a certain point she sped up, to which Snopy increased his speed in proportion to hers. They finally arrived on one of the upper floors, though Snopy hadn't been counting. They arrived at one of the doors and Kanna opened it up, the door wasn't even locked. She stepped to the side to allow him to go by. The door was closed behind them and Snopy observed the apartment. Everything was small, but the apartment was well taken care of. It didn't look that bad in all honesty. As he looked around Kanna moved over to the couch, curling up and placing her hand on her head. Snopy laughed a bit as she mentioned he knew where she lived, and asked what he wanted. He went over and sat next to her on the couch. Like I said earlier, to get to know you better. What are some things you like? Do you have any hobbies? He stopped there, feeling that was a good start. He would wait and see how she responded. | |

| After asking him what he wanted, Kanna looked away for a moment. She suddenly felt part of the couch sink in and her heart skipped a beat. She straightened and looked to him with widened eyes. She pushed herself away from him and into the corner of the couch, glancing him up and down with obvious suspicion in her eyes. Her eyes narrowed just a bit more and she looked away from him as he began asking her questions. "Get to know me?" she pretty much just repeated his statement in the form of a question, "No and no. I don't have anything that I 'like' to do, nor do I have any 'hobbies'. I sit in this apartment every day until work, I go to work, I come back, I sleep, and then I repeat the process every single day." About half way through her talking, it became apparent in Kanna's tone that she was serious. She really did nothing all day. She continued on speaking, answering random questions as if she was assuming that he was going to ask them. "I don't have a favorite color. I don't have a favorite food. I don't like watching TV. I rarely listen to music. I don't make that much money. I work in that store you saw the old woman in. And that pretty much sums up my current life... Anything else?" Kanna's tone was rude and quite inconsiderate, but this man was strange to her. He asked so many questions that to her meant nothing, especially since she didn't feel like he was actually interested in anything that has to do with her. "I bet he just wants something from me... This pretense of his is getting tiring..." she thought to herself, referring to his kind behavior towards her. | |

| Kanna answered his question quite abruptly. She had no favorite anything. She slept, ate and worked. That was her entire life. She apparently worked at the store that the old lady was inside of, but that was the most detailed information she gave him. Her tone was quite rude, and most people would be highly offended at it. Snopy, though, was quite calm about everything and didn't feel offended at all. Settle down a bit. I'm only asking because I'm interested, which you make no attempt to hide the fact you think I am lying. Still, you're telling me there is nothing good in your life? Snopy leaned back into the couch and took a deep breath. That's a shame, almost everyone deserves some happiness, and you seem to be robbed of yours. Is there something specific that happened that caused things to be like this? Like some specific event or strong of events? I can tell by the way you walk and speak, you are better educated than a lot of people I have seen, and those people had good lives. Something definitely isn't right here. He awaited an answer, wondering what it was that put Kanna in this position. She is truly miserable, and something had to cause it. Some event may have happened and she had some bad luck, maybe it was a string of events. There was some way she got here and it most certainly wasn't her own fault. | |

| "Settle down a bit. I'm only asking because I'm interested, which you make no attempt to hide the fact you think I am lying." Kanna stood up rather abruptly saying, "Of course I think you're lying! Why the hell would I think you would tell the truth! Some random guy decides to save me from a death I wanted for myself... I get it sure. Your conscience, but that doesn't mean you care! It's just your brain distinguishing right from wrong and not giving you time to decide for yourself because there, quite literally, was none. It was either, "let her die or save her" and any decent would have done what you did. And even if not everyone would have done it, because not everyone could, why the heck should I believe you actually care for me?" Kanna stared wide eyed and angry at him. Then, when she heard him ask his next question, "Still, you're telling me there is nothing good in your life?" she took in a deep breath and sat down on the couch once more. "I have nothing." she said bluntly, and in the nicest tone she had used since she met this persistent man. "That's a shame, almost everyone deserves some happiness, and you seem to be robbed of yours." Well all that statement did was bring her back to the misery she had been in for the past few years. A small flinch could be seen as she said that line.
And then he continued, "Is there something specific that happened that caused things to be like this? Like some specific event or strong of events? I can tell by the way you walk and speak, you are better educated than a lot of people I have seen, and those people had good lives. Something definitely isn't right here." It was like he was way too damn observant for his own good. It was irritating. A man she just barely met could tell so much about her. Yeah, sure. Suicide was a blunt give away, but even then most people wouldn't be able to so easily decipher what has been going on with her. With the few words she said, he was able to. "How irritating..." she mumbled under her breath and then looked to the ground. Finally she had given in. "That boy... the older one we saw with the family when we were walking home..." she couldn't even hold it back anymore. She cried, letting the tears flow rather heavily down her cheeks. She raised her hand to his face and covered it. "He's my son... And that bastard man with his new whore kicked me out of his life forever..."
