Basics
Name: Arturo Plateado
True Age: Unknown, approximately 1100~2000
Gender: Male
Personality: As a certain emperor once said, "POWER! UNLIMITED POWER!" Arturo wants nothing more than power. Power over the world, power over people, just more power. He'll do anything it takes to get that power. He'll stab people in the back, destroy entire nations, steal candy from kids, or burn down a St. Jude's. He stops at nothing—and no one—to get his power. But one big flaw he doesn't see is truly how much power he's going to need. Arturo has one big problem, and that's that he has a massive ego. How big is it? Well, you'll need something about twenty times larger than an anti-tank rifle to pierce through it. Arturo doesn't realize how much strength he
doesn't have. Granted, he's still not someone you'd fuck with if you had a choice. He's a dog with a bigger bark than a bite, but he still will bite. And it will hurt.
Actually, there's a correction. He'll do anything except one thing—allying himself with the Gotei 13. Arturo Plateado
HATES the Gotei 13, and 99.99999999999999999999999% of Shinigami. He views them as little pests who do nothing but stop him from ruling. Which is sorta true. I mean, they
were the ones that sealed him. To him, all Shinigami are below him. They are weak, trick-filled worms that should be crushed under the heel of his boot. However, he has noticed a few Shinigami are okay enough for him to consider allying himself with them even if he doesn't go through with it. In fact, that's moreso how he'd rather go at ruling—alone.
Arturo does have one other big problem, though this is a double-edged sword. Arturo... can't really see when he's lost. Or rather, he will
never accept that he has lost. Losing to Arturo means you're weak. And thanks to his overly-huge ego, Arturo won't see himself as weak. Thus in his mind, he'll never lose. This isn't to say he's going to
win, but he'll make damn sure his opponent doesn't win. This means that even if you cut off his arms and legs, he'll still come at you. He's not someone who you can injure and think he's out of the fight. He'll fight as long as he's alive. Even if he'll die, he'll fight to win. He will not be defeated.*
*In his mind
Also note: He has a very thick Spanish accent.
General Appearance
Appearance: He has long, turquoise hair and yellow eyes. He wears the basic Arrancar uniform, but with a belt worn just underneath his sash.
Appearance Age: Around... 30?
Mask Fragment: The remains of his Hollow mask are on his right cheek, with his appearance almost mimicking Grimmjow's. It appears to be the upper jaw, but is extended around the back of his head and has a sort of crest.
Hollow Hole: His Hollow hole is located below the base of his neck.
Height: 6'1
Weight: 150lbs
Natural Abilities
Unreleased Abilities: Sable: Instead of using his Zanpakutou in combat, Arturo creates a 1-meter long sword of energy from his hand. It acts much like a normal sword, meaning it has no abilities of its own other than being a replacement for his sword. It is as strong, if not slightly stronger than, his own sword, but it can be disrupted by energy disruption attacks.
Sonído: Arturo is rather proficient in Sonído, although his focus was not in distance. As he is not one to run away, Arturo's Sonído is based on speed. Thus, he may not be able to cover that much distance, but he is capable of covering shorter distances much faster than normal.
Cero: Arturo's ceros are average. The only special thing about it is its color, which is white with a crimson outline.
Oscuro Negación: As opposed to Negación's square beams, Oscuro Negación is instead two small, black circles. These two circles line up with one another to create a field that acts sort of like Negación. However, it's much more battle-ready than Negación, meaning that it doesn't isolate the target in a dimension. Instead, it simply acts as a paralyzer. To activate the effects, the opponent must pass between the two circles, which can only be apart up to five meters. The effects of the paralysis last for only one post and the affected can not be re-paralyzed for two posts. This makes it good for a trap and that's about it.
Zanpakutō Appearance: Fénix resembles a basic katana, except its blade is slightly more straight than a normal katana. The tsuba is in the shape of hourglass and is brass-like in color. It has a dark brown scabbard kept on his left waist. The handle is wrapped in a lighter brown fabric. The end cap has no identifying markings either. Arturo opts not to use the actual sword, instead relying on an energy blade he projects from his hand.
Resurrección
Resurrección Name: Fénix
Resurrección Release Phrase: Quemar (Scorch/Singe)
Resurrección Appearance: Arturo himself does not change drastically. Neither does his Zanpakutou. Instead, Arturo gains two wings made of what looks to be black and scarlet flames. These do not provide any offensive ability. They do not even tear through his clothes. Instead, the wings act more as an "exhaust" for excess Reiatsu. Thus, the more Reiatsu he has, the larger they become.
Resurrección Abilities: Enhanced Sonido: Arturo is much faster in covering the same short distances when Fénix is released. He's still only good at short distances.
Mudar: Thanks to the excess Reiatsu being expelled, Arturo is able to create a sort-of afterimage when using Sonido. Instead of actual afterimages, they are actually his reiatsu's "outermost layer" being shed. This gives them the same signature as Arturo, although they last for a much shorter time than actual afterimages. They have no ability of their own other than to confuse the opponent.
Absorción: This is Fénix's main ability. Essentially, Fénix absorbs part of the reiatsu of an opponent it kills. However, it is a little more complex than that. A + tier is rated as a .50 on the number scale. A - tier is a .75 on the scale. A full tier with no pluses is a 1. Thus, if Arturo gains +1, he'll go up from (for example) 1-5+ to 1-4+. For each tier level (0-x, 1-x, 2-x [the first number]) the opponent is above Arturo, he gets +.25. It would take two people one level higher for him to go from 1-5 to 1-5+. However, this changes if/when he attains 0-tier. On 0-tier, Arturo only gains +.05 per opponent on 0-tier level. Thus, it would take killing
twenty to go from 0-5 to 0-4. However, Arturo can't slaughter masses for this. It does not work on nameless masses. He also can't slaughter weaker characters either. Weaker characters eventually will
subtract from his tier. However many tier levels below the opponent was is a -.10. Thus, ten characters one tier level below him will cause his tier to decrease by one (1-4 to 1-5).

Character Background:
Over a thousand years ago, Arturo Plateado was a self-made Arrancar of great power who desired to destroy all Shinigami. Before that, his origins are unknown except that he was a rather powerful Adjuchas who had the potential to go to Vasto Lorde, but never did. To enact his ambitions, he left Hueco Mundo and invaded the Soul Society, decimating almost half of their military forces in his initial attack. Realizing that they were not powerful enough to defeat him, the Shinigami were forced to resort to different measure and thus lured him into a trap and sealed him in a place below the underground chamber of Central 46. He remained trapped in an endless void for several centuries, but as time passed the seal that held him began to weaken. It was only 500 years later than Arturo broke free, unbeknowst to the Gotei or Central 46.
After several centuries of honing his skills and gathering his own forces, Arturo attains near-full power, and returns to the Soul Society around three hundred years ago. Wanting to take revenge on the Shinigami for his defeat, the self-made Arrancar promptly orders a series of strikes against the Seireitei, and kills many challengers with relative ease. He briefly confronts several captains, including Jūshirō Ukitake and Shunsui Kyōraku, and both of them choose to withdraw from the battle in an attempt to prevent him from adding their powers to his own. During the ensuing conflicts, he briefly encounters Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto, whom he remembers from his first attack on the Seireitei over 1,000 years ago. After a brief exchange, the old general traps Arturo using Ryujin Jakka’s fire and flees the scene to find a permanent solution.
Yamamoto then calls for a private meeting with Captains Kisuke Urahara and Yoruichi Shihouin. He explains the state of emergency and declares that an artifact known as the Shisuikyō (熾水鏡, Burning Water Mirror) be used to drain Arturo Plateado of his powers. They are initially skeptic, but a Captain volunteers his Lieutenant to perform the deed. As the battle wages on, the Captain takes to the field with several other Shinigami to confront the Arrancar and his army. At first the battle seems hopeless, but the Lieutenant appears on the battlefield, and uses the Shisuikyō to drain the rogue Arrancar’s spirit energy, allowing the Shinigami to defeat him yet again. Arturo attempts to rise again saying that the fight is not yet over, but is soon drawn into an anomaly produced by the Shisuikyō.
Arturo Plateado reappeared a hundred years later in Hueco Mundo and was found in a weakened state by Gin Ichimaru, during which the traitorous Shinigami brought him to Las Noches on the behest of Sōsuke Aizen. The former Fifth Division Captain offers the self-made Arrancar a mutually beneficial deal. Unfortunately for Aizen, Arturo turned him down. Arturo felt this was some big trick by the Gotei to kill him off for good. Thankfully this was not the case as it is very likely if he were able to be at full power (thanks to the Hougyoku), things would definitely be different.
Roleplay Sample:
A ballet of swords. A beard danced and turquoise hair fluttered. This was an exchange between two rather powerful individuals. In the corner of invasion was the Arrancar, Arturo Plateado. In the corner of defense was the old man Shinigami, Yamamoto Shigekuni Genyuusai. The two had clashed before, but this time... this time it was not going to be so easy. This is because unlike last time... Arturo was at his full power. He matched—if not surpassed—the Captain-Commander. And that's why Arturo felt—nay, he knew he would win. This old man would crumble to dust or break his hip before he could do any lasting damage to Arturo.
"Anciano, you should go ahead and bow your head so I can chop it right off." Arturo's thick Spanish accent made it almost comical to hear him say such things. It wasn't the Spanish that the modern-day media try to parody. No, this was authentic. This was true to Spain. His voice was full of arrogance. There was absolutely no wavering in Arturo's spirit. To him, not even this old man's Bankai would be a problem. "If you keep dancing like this, Anciano, you'll bore me."
Arturo felt sure that he could win. It was rare, but Arturo was indeed wielding his sword. This old man would actually be a bit tricky without it. But it didn't matter, because this old man would still be dead by the end of things. With him out of the way, Arturo would be free to take over the Seireitei—and then gain more power. The steel blades sparked as they continued to meet at speeds that surpassed the human eye. This was truly a battle no one needed to get near. Not only could Arturo (at least in his mind) fight both of them at once, but the speeds were so high even Yamamoto might slip up and hit his ally.
After a strong meeting of the swords, the two warriors were pushed back. Neither of them were that tired. It was like a light workout to the both of them. That is why the Shinigami realized that even his Bankai may not be enough to stop Arturo. "Reduce All Creation to Ash." Those five words echoed throughout the Seireitei. They knew what this meant. Even Arturo did, and because of it he smirked. He smiled. The Shinigami was weaker. The Shinigami had to use his Shikai. "Even your flames won't be enough to save you from your demise, Anciano." Even facing the flames of hell itself, Arturo did not waiver. Arturo Plateado stood tall and proud in front of the growing fires. He knew he could win. Nothing this lone Shinigami could do would keep Arturo from getting his power.
"Jōkaku———Enjō!" Flames surrounded Arturo. He had not encountered this the last time he had fought Yamamoto. He did not expect such a cheap trick to be used. Arturo could not get out of the fire just yet. It was simply too hot for him. These flames were meant to do one thing, and Arturo figured it out quite quickly. "Anciano... do you really think this will keep me here forever? I give it two days maximum before you're tired and turned to dust from trying to keep me here. And then I'll scatter your dust with my own boot." Even though he was incapable of attacking the Shinigami, Arturo would not stop antagonizing him. He would not stop boasting. It would take someone ripping out his tongue for him to stop boasting verbally, and then he'd just write down. Arturo would make sure that he'd kill this old Shinigami. He'd do it with his own sword. Not for honor, but so Arturo could get the power of the one man who could stop him temporarily. Yes, this man had power... power that Arturo needed.
