Basics
Name: Kuragasumi, Shirabe (暗霞 白資)
True Age: 410
Gender: Female
Personality: Shirabe is truly the 'second coming of Misaiko.' Elegance exudes from her in every aspect. For example, she makes little sound when she walks as she'd rather not attract attention or to interrupt. She never speaks with a loud voice, as she finds it rude. She tries not to scream either, as she doesn't want to draw unnecessary attention. Shirabe pronounces all of her words to the letter. Every little syllable has its own space to make sure there are no misunderstandings. This makes her talk slowly, but it fits her low and graceful voice. She always offers to get tea to any guest, and has a knack for it that rivals—and, according to some guards who are no longer employed, possibly surpasses—Misaiko. She is allowed access to Misaiko's tea collection, of which she is allowed near-free range to brew the tea and to create new flavors.
Something else Shirabe does is that she puts the other person in a conversation on a higher pedestal than herself. This is not only present in things such as her suffixes to the other person's (or people's) names, but she also sits lower than the other person. Shirabe is also much like a mother when it comes to those younger than her. When she isn't with Misaiko, she is helping some of the orphaned children not only find families, but also find happiness. Shirabe does this to help children experience something she did not, and it gives her a chance to be slightly more of a 'childish' person. She strangely keeps this secret from Misaiko, for reasons unknown.
She always refers to Misaiko as either "Misaiko-sama" or "Lady Misaiko," much to Misaiko's own chagrin. This is because Shirabe admires Misaiko. Through-and-through, Misaiko is not only everything Shirabe wants to be, but also Misako also stands for everything that Shirabe either does or wants to. And for those that the two both stand for, Shirabe feels Misaiko stands for whatever it is in a much greater aspect. And it is because of that admiration that Shirabe strives to maximize her own achievements, though nothing to outshine Misaiko. All-in-all, Shirabe feels Misaiko is perfect with imperfections. She wants to be like Misaiko, and that all ties back to one thing. All during her childhood, her grandfather and other villagers claimed how much she looked like Misaiko. They praised Shirabe at how much like the 'Great Queen of the East' Shirabe actually was. Thus, Shirabe began to idolize Misaiko. She probably puts Misaiko on a far greater pedestal than she actually is, but Shirabe would have it no other way. This is because Misaiko's sheer presence gave Shirabe's life meaning. Misaiko is the one who saved her from growing to be like her grandfather.
Sugiura Class: Normal
General Appearance
Appearance: Not only in personality is Shirabe the second coming of Misaiko, but she is a near-splitting image of the queen. She has extemely pale skin, making her look more like a doll than a human. It's softer than silk as Shirabe takes fairly good care of herself. Shirabe's physique is magnificent. Despite being younger and slightly shorter than her queen, Shirabe has a matching physique to the point to where they have worn the other's undergarments by mistake. Her hair is quite beautiful, as it is the same shimmering snow white as Misaiko's. Her bangs are kept cut out of her eyes, yet they are swept towards the middle. Bundles of hair that cover the side of her face extend to gently lay atop her breasts. If she stands straight up and leans her head back, the ends of these bundles gently dangle above her two curves. Her eyes are gentle, yet sharp and direct. Their color is a fierce, yet gentle
scarlet that nearly borders on being magenta.
In terms of clothing, Shirabe is closer to being the opposite of Misaiko than she is more like her. The main thing that ties her attire to Misaiko is her glasses. They are small, half-rimmed glasses meant for two purposes. One is to block sunlight, as Shirabe has trouble seeing in bright places. The other is to help her see at long distances. While she has absoultely perfect vision distance-wise, these glasses allow her to see even farther into the distance. While her clothing is still extremely formal, it is of a different style. Shirabe's attire is closer to a military uniform than anything else. The topmost layer is a black officer's jacket, though it has no identifying markings. The buttons have a tantou crossed with an olive branch inlay across their golden surface. There are two pockets on the waist of the jacket, which she keeps necessary items such as a notepad, candy for children, keys, and tea bags.
Underneath the jacket is a starched white shirt with no identifying markings. Her red tie, however, is the same color of her eyes. It was a gift from Misaiko, who said that something was missing from Shirabe's 'military getup.' She wears very plain undergarments, and it takes Misaiko being forceful for Shirabe to even try new clothes. Shirabe does, however, own a pair of black suede leather gloves which she cherishes as well. They are silk-lined, and tailored for Shirabe's hands, making them incredibly comfortable. They too were a gift from Misaiko, although they were a birthday gift. As for pants, she wears black silk leggings. These are far more comfortable for Shirabe rather than actual pants. They are covered in the feet by knee-height black suede boots.
Animalistic Traits: Shirabe also shares Misaiko's traits in terms of animal-based ones. Not only does she have her normal, unpierced ears, but she also has a pair of wolf-like ears protruding from the top of her head. Albeit more apparent and turned inwards than Misaiko's, Shirabe's are just as dog-like as the Queen's. And to top it off, Shirabe does, in face, have a small, bushy wolf-like tail. She normally keeps it tucked under her tights, wrapping around and protecting certain areas.
Appearance Age: 18.
Height: 158cm
Weight: 51.4kg
Natural Abilities
Techinques: Makka na Chikai: (真赤 な 誓い; lit. Blood-Red Oath) A passive ability that This is something she does to prove that someone means a great deal to her. She will cut open her arm and the other person's arm. She will then put her wound against the other person's. She will then recite a chant to make the "bond" complete: "No matter when, no matter when. No matter where, No matter where. It matters not what kind of friend or foe I may come across, there is no way I will let go of my hold on this blood-red oath." What this does is that it allows her to sense the heart, chi, reaichi, etc. -beat of the other person... and vice-versa. As long as they are in the same dimension, Shirabe can feel that and the same goes the other way around. She can't use it as a radar to detect the person's location. Instead it's more like using it as a monitor for their condition.
Makka na Chikai no Tōboe: (真赤な誓いの遠吠え ;lit. Howl of the Blood-Red Oath) An ability of Makka na Chikai that allows for her to speak to a person she has a Makka na Chikai with telepathically. It's nothing special, except that it allows her to speak with the person when they are not in the same dimension. If the other person is somehow cut off (dying, special ability, etc.), Shirabe will hear static and will be forced to shut off the telepathic link.
Magic: Shirabe is not lackluster in her magic skill. Rather, Shirabe is actually quite skilled for someone her age. However, there's one big problem. She tenses up and loses her concentration when others (especially Misaiko) are present. This makes her skill look like it's worse than it is.
Sacred Weapon: Shirabe's Sacred is known as Shihōnokaze. It is quite bland, but it is something Shirabe is very proud of. She has it tied behind her waist.
Other Weapons: None.

Guardian Beast Appearance: In his dragon form, which is his true form, Chuukagerou is a mirror-like 'brother' to Misaiko's Megamikaze. Whereas Megamikaze is a white dragon, Chuukagerou is black.
However, Chuukagerou has another appearance. Because sometimes his dragon-like appearance is a little noticable, he can compress himself to a more humanoid form. Chuukagerou is tall and looks young for his age, and has a lean, muscular frame clearly toned from a lifetime of training in the Xingese martial arts. His dark wine-colored eyes have been described as "squinty" or "shifty" and, indeed, they appear as if closed most of the time, opening only to depict Chuukagerou's darker or more serious emotions such as anger, horror, frustration, or avarice, among others. Chuukagerou wears his black hair long and tied in a ponytail with white ribbon while his long, spiky bangs hang over his face, often obscuring one of his eyes - usually the right, though this varies depending on the direction he's facing.
Chuukagerou's signature outfit, consists of loose white trousers and a goldenrod shirt which bears a white flame pattern at the base and cuffs, small wing decals at the collar and a large bird's head marking on the back - likely suggesting a phoenix motif - worn open to reveal his bare torso and the sword strap that keeps a Dao sword suspended across his back. The sword, rather than being sheathed, is wrapped in white tape. His forearms and abdomen are also wrapped in strips of white cloth called sarashi. His other outfit is all-black, with a black Chinese shirt worn closed under a long, black trench coat with black slacks and black dress shoes.
Guardian Beast Personality: On the surface, Chuukagerou comes off as a rather silly and lighthearted person, frequently engaging in comical behavior and retaining his oft-present grin even while making threats. He displays a childlike amusement for new situations whether or not they prove adverse or even potentially fatal, has a penchant for wandering off on his own only to collapse in the middle of a street, and is infamous for having a voracious appetite. Even with all these idiosyncrasies, he is extremely personable and his particularly complimentary nature easily gains him the friendship and trust of those around him.
Of course, these aspects belie the complex and determined man underneath. On the reverse side of his frivolous nature is his considerable shrewdness, which makes him quite capable of reading people and situations in order to manipulate them to his liking. He is particularly observant, taking into consideration even the smallest details of his surroundings in order to better understand and deal with challenges and, despite his lofty position, is not above using cheap tricks or questionable tactics to ensure his own survival. Being singularly ambitious, Chuukagerou also has a remarkably tenacious will that allows him to overcome virtually insurmountable obstacles and accept inhuman burdens for the sake of his ultimate goal. He has considerable pride that will not stand for being insulted or condemned by his enemies, but he is also capable of shelving his pride if it becomes something that will stand in the way of his objective.
Chuukagerou is very protective of his owner, refusing to allow any harm to come to her and often deeming her safety more important than his own in spite of his own personal ambitions and goals. He has to be reminded several times that his own safety is something upon which many people depend. As such, he becomes furious when observing those who willingly or remorselessly cast aside their own comrades or brethren and is sickened by the idea of superiors who reject their duty to those who trust them.
Joushou
Joushou Appearance: No change.
Joushou: Inability to be Intoxicated: Thanks to the focus that is required to accurately use her four winds, Shirabe's body is unharmed by intoxication effects. What this means is that poisons, aromas, and visuals that would normally give an intoxicated or hypnotized-like feeling do not affect Shirabe. Note: Illusions, Sea and Air Sickness, Nausea all still affect her normally.
Heightened Presence Awareness: In a 50 meter radius, Shirabe can detect fluctuations in the wind. This means anything that can displace air is able to be detected by Shirabe, except for things like Shunpo and the like. This is because it is impossible for her to be able to detect something moving that fast. Some larger-caliber and all sub-sonic ammunition on the other hand are able to be detected.
Seihōkei Kyōfū: (正方形強風; lit. Squared High Winds) Shihōnokaze's main ability. The main four abilities are forms of the four
Anemoi, or winds. In ancient Greek religion and myth, the Anemoi (in Greek, Ἄνεμοι — "winds") were wind gods who were each a cardinal direction from which their respective winds came. She can only control one at a time.
- Seifūkaze: (西風 ;lit. Zéfyros) The first of Shirabe's four winds. Seifūkaze represents Zephyrus, the West Wind. The gentlest of the winds, Zephyrus is known as the fructifying wind, the messenger of spring. Seifūkaze allows her to wrap her wind around objects, up to the size and weight of a mini-van. The wind acts as a sort of tentacle, wrapping around the target. She can only hold one of its maximum size. She can hold up about three average height and weight humans at maximum. The control is up to 100 meters. Before grabbing onto an object, dust in the area makes the wind visible.
- Kochikaze: (幅風 ;lit. Év̱ros) The second of Shirabe's four winds. Kochikaze represents Eurus. Eurus was the Greek deity representing the unlucky east wind, thought to bring warmth and rain, and his symbol was an inverted vase, spilling water. She doesn't like using it, as it is a bit too uncontrolled. Whereas the other three would be comparable to a motorcycle in control, Kochikaze is a mile-long freight train. She uses Kochikaze as a last-ditch resort or to destroy or damage large structures. It is a gale-force gust that is shaped like a large rectangle. Its exact dimensions are unknown, but it is estimated to be between 90x90x50 and 110x110x70 meters (length by width by height). Shirabe can move it around like a large brick. Thus, Shirabe can drop it on someone or just 'push' it towards someone or something or someplace.
- Soyokaze: (微風;lit. Nótos) The third of Shirabe's four winds. Soyokaze represents Notus. Notus was the Greek south wind. It was associated with the desiccating hot wind of the rise of Sirius after midsummer, was thought to bring the storms of late summer and autumn, and was feared as a destroyer of crops. It is a wind that she doesn't use much because of its attribute: fire. The wind under her control takes a small red glow. It takes the shape of an axe-like blade about the length of Shirabe's arm in its base form. She can cause the 'wind blade' to extent to a grand total of 100 meters. However, that isn't just a straight line. The 'blade' can be bent up, down, and side to side. It is superheated to being capable of melting through steel like thermite. It is the only of her winds that can hurt her as well.
- Kitakaze: (北風 ;lit. Voréas) The fourth and final of Shirabe's winds. Kitakaze represents Boreas. Boreas was the Greek cold north wind and the bringer of winter. His name meant "North Wind" or "Devouring One". She is more skilled with using Kitakaze than any of her other three. Kitakaze is harder to see as it is a small blue glow to it. It is as strong as a steel blade and as cold as liquid oxygen. It causes a freezing 'cauterization' on what it cuts, which can make it more dangerous if the ice isn't removed. It acts and has the same length limitation as its older brother, Soyokaze.
Zenou
Zenou Appearance: No change.
Zenou Abilities: Inability to be Intoxicated: Thanks to the focus that is required to accurately use her winds, Shirabe's body is unharmed by intoxication effects. What this means is that poisons, aromas, and visuals that would normally give an intoxicated or hypnotized-like feeling do not affect Shirabe. Note: Illusions, Sea and Air Sickness, Nausea all still affect her normally.
Seihōkei Kyōfū no Tōboe: (正方形強風の遠吠え ;lit. Howl of Squared High Winds) Enhanced versions of Seihōkei Kyōfū from Joushou. Whereas she'd be able to control only one of these in Joushou, she can now control Soyokaze no Tōboe and Kitakaze no Tōboe at the same time.
- Seifūkaze no Tōboe: (西風の遠吠え ;lit. Howl of Zéfyros) The first of Shirabe's four winds. Seifūkaze no Tōboe represents Zephyrus, the West Wind. The gentlest of the winds, Zephyrus is known as the fructifying wind, the messenger of spring. Seifūkaze allows her to wrap her wind around objects, up to the size and weight of a freight train. The wind acts as a sort of tentacle, wrapping around the target. She can only hold one of its maximum size. She can hold up about six average height and weight humans at maximum. The control is up to 200 meters. Before grabbing onto an object, dust in the area makes the wind visible.
- Kochikaze no Tōboe: (幅風の遠吠え ;lit. Howl of Év̱ros) The second of Shirabe's four winds. Kochikaze no Tōboe represents Eurus. Its exact dimensions are unknown, but it is estimated to be between 150x150x80 and 170x170x100 meters (length by width by height). Shirabe can move it around like a large brick. Thus, Shirabe can drop it on someone or just 'push' it towards someone or something or someplace.
- Soyokaze no Tōboe: (微風の遠吠え;lit. Howl of Nótos) The third of Shirabe's four winds. Soyokaze no Tōboe represents Notus. Notus was the Greek south wind. It was associated with the desiccating hot wind of the rise of Sirius after midsummer, was thought to bring the storms of late summer and autumn, and was feared as a destroyer of crops. However, that isn't just a straight line. The 'blade' can be bent up, down, and side to side. It is superheated to being capable of melting through steel like thermite. If it passes through sand, it will glass the sand it cut through. It is the only of her winds that can hurt her as well.
- Kitakaze no Tōboe: (北風の遠吠え ;lit. Howl of Voréas) The fourth and final of Shirabe's winds. Kitakaze no Tōboe represents Boreas. Boreas was the Greek cold north wind and the bringer of winter. Kyuu Kyou
Kyuu Kyou Appearance: No change.
Mystic Eyes:
Kyuu Kyou Abilities:
Kaze no Arashi no Tōboe: (風の嵐の ;lit. Howl of the Storm of the Winds) Kaze no Arashi no Tōboe is a major advancement of the Seihōkei Kyōfū concept. Whereas the Seihōkei Kyōfū winds were the Anemoi, Kaze no Arashi no Tōboe winds are the Anemoi Thuellai (Άνεμοι θύελλαι; Greek: "Tempest-Winds"), wicked and violent daemons created by Typhon. Like in Joushou, she can only control one of these at a time (save for one). She can not control one of the Seihōkei Kyōfū no Tōboe and one of the Kaze no Arashi no Tōboe at the same time.
- Mōmoku no Tōboe: (盲目の遠吠え ;lit. Howl of the Blind) Mōmoku no Tōboe represents the northeast, Kaikias. His name is cognate to the Latin word caecus "blind." Mōmoku no Tōboe is the literal strongest of any of Shirabe's winds. Essentially, it causes a large-scale wind storm in a 1-kilometer-diameter dome. The dome also extends half of a kilometer above (and below her, if she is not on the ground when activating this ability). The wind's sheer strength creates sandstorm-like conditions within. Instead of sand, however, paint, dust, even water become what blocks view. For both Shirabe and her opponent, there is little more than a single meter in viewing distance. Shirabe's sensing ability is not usable in this. She can keep the sphere/dome up for 5 posts with a 3-post cooldown period.
- Gamen no Tōboe: (画面の遠吠え ;lit. Howl of the Field) Gamen no Tōboe represents the southeast wind, Apeliotes. He was thought to cause a refreshing rain particularly beneficial to farmers. Gamen no Tōboe is effectively the only thing that Shirabe can use to heal herself. It is the only one of her winds that she can use with another wind active because of that. Essentially, Shirabe will create a bandage or a stent to either cover up or artificially and temporarily heal herself. She can only do this thrice per thread, and it can't heal near-fatal wounds. At most, one can last ten posts before it is unusable.
- Tanso no Tōboe: (平均の遠吠え ;lit. Howl of Balance) Tanso no Tōboe represents the northwest wind, Skeiron. He was seen as representing the onset of winter. Tanso no Tōboe is the only defense-class wind Shirabe has. Tanso no Tōboe creates a torrent of wind around both of her arms. If it comes in contact with another wind or shockwave ability, even Shirabe's own winds if they are lingering around, both Tanso no Tōboe and the other wind cancels out completely. This cancels it for both arms, and it can only stop one ability. Shirabe can only use it once per thread.
- Jari no Tōboe: (中東の遠吠え ;lit. Howl of Sand) Jari no Tōboe represents the southwest wind, Lips. His Roman equivalent was Afer ventus ("African wind"), or Africus, due to Africa being to the southwest of Italy. Jari no Tōboe's name is not just for show, nor is its representation. It truly represents a Scirocco wind. A Scirocco is a Mediterranean wind that comes from the Sahara and reaches hurricane speeds in North Africa and Southern Europe. While not as strong as Mōmoku no Tōboe or Soyokaze no Tōboe, Jari no Tōboe is, on the other hand, the largest of any of her winds. Three kilometers long, four nanometers wide , and a kilometer tall, the massive wind wall can be classified as an anti-army attack. Its 150 kilometer-per-hour wind speed makes it incredibly dangerous. However, that is not all that this wind brings. As it passes over, the temperature raises 40° C ( 104° F). Yes, this wind can cause most ice to melt and most water to boil. It can also cause sudden nausea thanks to rapid temperature changes, as well as heat stroke in some. Some flammable materials' containers (propane tanks, aerosol cans, etc.) will rupture as this heat wave passes over. Coupled with down power lines, this wind can destroy entire towns. Shirabe despises this wind, but she knows that there will be a time and place where this eternal destroyer will need to be used. She can only use it twice per thread with a 6-post cooldown between uses.

Character Background: Shirabe was not born well-off. Her mother was a priestess who died during childbirth and her father never returned from a hunting trip. Therefore, it was her mother's father that raised Shirabe. She had no brothers nor sisters. In fact, her grandfather was the only family she had left. However, there was one odd thing about Shirabe, which was her appearance. As her grandfather had helped out around the royal castle when the current Queen was born, he thought he had seen the newborn queen once more. Neither her mother or father had white hair, let alone red eyes, so that is how her grandfather made the connection.
And it was that connection that would be Shirabe's downfall. Shirabe was being raised to be a priestess much like her late mother. This was a small town near the border with the South, so there needed to be a strong barrier in case a wild Guardian Beast charged through. Because Shirabe's appearance did not match her mother or father's, her grandfather kept her inside in windowless rooms most of the time. This constantly-dim light was what ruined Shirabe's eyesight. But every once in a while, she'd be allowed to go out late at night, and the only people that saw her swore to keep her appearance secret. But that didn't last long, as eventually people questioned her grandfather on if she really was her father's daughter. Her grandfather, in a state of confusion, he blurted out "It's because she's the second coming of Misaiko!" Well, that wasn't the... best idea, but it worked. The townspeople halfheartedly accepted it, but it was enough to quiet them down for good.
However, Shirabe had heard all of this. She then asked her grandfather who Misaiko was. He told her fantastic stories of Misaiko and how beautiful she was—always comparing the Queen to his granddaughter, of course. He'd make up many of them, but he'd always paint her in the greatest, grandest, brightest light. Shirabe saw this Queen as someone she could look up to. Someone she could rely on. Before Shirabe was able to attain priestesshood, a troop of guards from the castle appeared in the village. The news of this "Second Coming of Misaiko" had spread even there, albeit not to the public at large. And it's weird to say the Second Coming of someone if they're not dead... so it was a little suspicious to the point that they believed it could be plotting for a coup d'etat. When they saw Shirabe, they knew exactly what the news meant... and they took her back to the capitol. There, the timid girl got to meet her idol. Even Misaiko was taken aback by how much Shirabe looked like her. As her last advisor had retired, Misaiko was lacking someone to give her direction and to be a shoulder to lean on. And out of the blue, she asked Shirabe to be her next Advisor. Shirabe took the position, albeit timidly, and has developed a closer bond with Misaiko ever since.
