Basics
Name: Kasai Rain
True Age: 17
Appearance Age: 17
Gender: Male
Personality: Kasai can be... rather hotheaded at times. He thinks after he acts, and that occasionally gets him into trouble. He's loud at times, and he's also rather annoying if you let him be that way. Then again, he really only does that to annoy people who annoy him in the first place - he's not easily annoyed, and he's is unlikely to hate you unless you do something that makes him want to hate you... such as killing a close friend, or taking someone's life who doesn't deserve it... He's not easily irked, but you don't want him to be, either.
He's a bit of a womanizer, too. Not as much as most self-proclaimed "ladies" men, but definitely more than your average guy. He certainly knows what a beautiful woman looks like, but he will never look past their personality. If he doesn't like how they act, he'll probably ignore them. That's just how he is. He cares more about personality than looks... But a hot bod never did anything wrong in his eyes. Especially redheads. Oh, he loves him some redheads.
He has a personal sense of honor... That is interchangeable. If he finds that his sense of honor is going to just slow him down, or it's going to hurt someone more than it's worth, he's going to try and change it to suit. He's changed his sense of honor about... once. Yeah, he's only had to change it once. And that was from "I won't kill, no matter what!" to "If I have to, I will kill." Yeah, that's the sort of honor changes that I mean.
Anyway, his mind is usually set on what his one goal is at the time - a phenomena called "Tunnel Mentality" or "Tunnel Vision". Basically, he can't be distracted or sidetracked when he knows what he wants - something that is both a gift, and a horrible curse. He can sometimes get so worked up over what he's trying to do, that he doesn't stop to think about anything else - and can end up ignoring those close to him.
He also has a huge fear of spiders. Just throwin' that out there. Also, he's a prettyboy. But... He's not afraid to get his hands dirty for the sake of justice and peace. Sounds very cliche, right? Wrong. He would rather do things for money.

Qi Abilities
Type: Gongneng
Appearance change: It depends upon the ability that he's using.
Abilities: Most of Kasai's abilities are based around stealth and deception. As such, he has been proven a cunning illusionist in many ways; but we should understand that all of his illusions, while almost impossible to tell from reality, dissipate when certain conditions are met. Each of the conditions will be outlined.
Appearance Shifting: By using his Qi to actively modify the levels of melanin and other coloring elements in his body, he can change the color of everything on his form, from his hair and eyes, to the color of the small mole on his right shoulder. At most times, he prefers his cyan hair color, but when going in stealth, he tends to change it to black.
Stealth: The simplest of Kasai's abilities; it allows him to completely and totally erase his presence in every way, by manipulating the flow of Qi over his skin. This has three effects. Firstly, the shroud of Qi causes his body to become perfectly camouflaged, making him totally invisible to the naked eye. Those without specific Mystic Eyes are completely unable to view his body under most circumstances. As he is still physically there, anything that covers a wide area will still collide with his body; possibly revealing his form if correctly used. Secondly, his movements are totally silenced, as the shroud levitates him millimeters above the ground. This reduces his movement speed and dexterity, but allows him to pass without being heard. Finally, this ability locks away his vital signs and presence to the outside world. Bodily heat, Qi generation, breathing, heart beat and everything that shows signs of life are erased from sensors. In essence, upon activating this ability, Kasai completely disappears from the eyes of anyone who can sense him. However, he cannot perform any actions above moving in any direction (this includes climbing and the like)--if he does, the illusion will be broken and Kasai's stealth will die away until he chooses to activate it again. It has no way of being deactivated, save for acting outside of the allowed parameters. It also has no limit to how long it can be active for. When deactivated, it goes into cooldown for one round before he's able to use it once more. Although he can use it when someone sees him, it's difficult for him to stealth in the vision of others.
Quick-Step: By cushioning the soles of his feet with a large amount of Qi, Kasai can launch himself across short distances with little effort, much like the Shinigami's Flash Step. Each step can take him for approximately fifty metres at a maximum, and takes only a very small amount of his Qi to perform--however, as balance, he must use some of his Qi to inhibit certain functions that would be damaged by the quick movement. He can perform an unlimited number of steps per post, and he moves only barely quicker than the average human eye can perceive.
Illusion A - Afterimage: The most basic of Kasai's illusions, the afterimage is very simple to use, but also extremely simple to see through and defeat. Creating an illusory image of his own body is the simple part--after this, Kasai can direct it as he pleases. The easiest way to use it is to activate it and move immediately into stealth; hiding behind it to disappear and escape. Due to its simplistic nature, it only requires a minor amount of Qi. This small amount of Qi used in its creation allows for it to be easily dissipated by any above-average spiritual pressure that doesn't belong to Kasai, but there is a three second delay before it can be destroyed, allowing Kasai enough time to either escape, or make his attack. Can be used once per round to make up to five afterimages.
Illusion B - Substitution: More a quick-use technique than an illusion, Kasai can quickly create something similar to an afterimage that appears from out of nowhere, apparently 'replacing' his body. Usually it's the first thing that comes to mind; in most cases it's a small log. By using this, he can take damage that would normally be fatal and escape to fight again. There are, of course, several conditions. Firstly, Kasai must be able to
know that something's coming, either by being told or sensing it (with any sense) and recognizing the danger. Secondly, he has to be able to react fast enough to be able to activate his substitution ability. If he cannot react in time, then the ability may be compromised and interrupted, causing him to take full damage. He can only use one of these every three rounds. The substitution cannot be destroyed by normal means; it disappears once Kasai deactivates his Stealth ability--this can ONLY be used as a precursor to Stealth.
Illusion C - Element Clone: Now, we're getting into the meaty stuff. If Kasai is around anything involving three of the four elements: pure Earth, Water or Air, he is capable of creating clones of himself by infusing his Qi into it and shaping it, before making it appear out of nowhere. He can have up to three clones of himself, and they must all be of the same element. If he tries to create clones of another element while still controlling any of the first, they will simply fall into their respective element. Each clone is capable of full movement and attacking--but only basic attacks--and will both bleed and then die when struck as if they were normal humans. Due to their using Kasai's own Qi, they are nearly indistinguishable from any other, let alone Kasai himself. Because he is required to distribute his Qi between them, Kasai loses access to all of his other abilities until they are all dead--this is in order to preserve the illusion, as using an ability would use Qi, making Kasai obviously different.. Once a clone dies, 75% of the energy used is refunded to Kasai. The rest is gone. Each clone can last for an entire thread, but it's best that they're used and gone as fast as possible, in order to give Kasai his own powers back. Each clone type is more susceptible to attacks its opposing element. He can create and destroy clones at any time, up to the maximum of three. There is no cooldown for these.
Past & Roleplay Sample
Character Background: Kasai Rain was born to two perfectly normal, unpowered humans living in Nagasaki, Japan. Of course, this birth wasn't perfect. After eight hours of contractions and labor, his mother was suddenly horrified to find that there was, in fact, no baby born. Well, there was a baby born. The doctor pulled out an invisible being, attached to the umbilical cord. As it turns out, the sudden appearance of a new environment did not cause this child to start crying--instead, a completely different defense mechanism occurred: it became invisible. When it started finally crying, the doctor noticed that something was indeed there, and made sure not to drop it as he handed it to the smiling mother. She took the child in her arms, and it appeared, having been in a place that it understood to be completely and totally safe. She named him 'Kasai', for the flames that burned within his soul.
As time went on, his mother started to get used to this defense mechanism, and Kasai started to get used to using it--he could become invisible at will by the age of five, and by the age of seven he could also go almost completely silent. Unfortunately for most, this resulted in him doing what any young man learning about the opposite sex would do--sneak into the girl's locker rooms during P.E. This went well enough for about five minutes, before some young lass walked into him. The loss of concentration caused him to reappear, and, well... you work out the rest. With that, an embarrassed Kasai was transferred to a new school; in fact, they moved cities completely.
Once he reached a certain age, he was picked up by the recruiters for the Hephaestus Academy, and offered a scholarship when it was discovered that his mother wouldn't be able to afford to send him to this school. At simply twelve years of age, he was shipped off to this unknown location in China in order to learn how to better control his abilities, and to mingle around people with similar minds. He received his rank and began training--he preferred training to studying, marginally. As he aged and learned through the years, Kasai slowly began to understand his powers well enough to create clones, but that was all: he is currently at an impasse as to how he wishes to justify and develop his abilities. Does he want to continue with stealth, or finally delve into the realms of battle...?
