Basics
Name: Beunor Galahad le Noire
True Age: 700-900
Gender: Male
Personality: Beunor, Beunor, Beunor. If people had to describe him in one word, it'd be douchebag. In two, it'd be king douchebag. Any more and it'd be repetitive. Beunor treats everyone who is actually below him like they were dirt. Only those above him in organizational hierarchy get treated with his ever-so-sought feigned and mostly sarcastic respect. Everyone below him, especially those that try to get on his good side, are always a target for him. If his coffee is hot, he'll decapitate or at least tap the bare blade of his sabre against the peon's neck. If his coffee is warm or cooler, he'll do the same. He gets satisfaction from seeing those people squirm under his pressure. He gets satisfaction from people trying to get under his skin. He gets satisfaction from people being in pain, people shouting in anger, shrieking in fear, howling in sadness, et cetera. Happiness? Even
it gives him a satisfaction. However, this happiness is simply that he knows that he can break it. The smiles curved into frowns, their eyes filling with tears of anguish--it is all satisfaction to this man.
Let's say you unsurprisingly get on Beunor's bad side. What will this man do? He has three types of punishment: humiliation, physical torture, and his favorite: sexual torture. Humiliation he tends to use on servants and the like to make sure they know their place. That, and Beunor wants to make them realize he doesn't care about them, period. Physical torture is quite bloody and/or painful normally. Beunor loves to use his sabre or his daggers to make sure that his point gets across. That can be taken as a pun as he's not shy of cutting the person in question. Beunor also uses his scabbard to smash in shins, crush one's throat, or knock the wind out of someone. Sexual torture comes in many fashions. Normally it's given to the females that flock around him. However, there is another kind that he enjoys more than anything: Netorare. One of Beunor's favorite words. Someone close to you? And Beunor doesn't feign respect for you? Beunor will do whatever it takes to make people curse him; to make them hate him; to make his name screamed by two people: one in pain and the other in pain and pleasure.
Beunor's good side?
What good side? Beunor doesn't keep so-called friends, or rather they don't keep him. Not that he cares, but he will jokingly hold it against them. Those that try to get on his good side get treated worse. Beunor abhors suck-ups as long as they're not a sarcastic person feigning sucking up. To be honest... Beunor doesn't
like anyone in the normal definition of the terms. It's not that he hates everyone; he just likes seeing people in pain and such more than the actual person. However, what he does like is people who have uses. He makes sure that people under him are used to their fullest. He makes sure that nothing, and no one, is wasted, even in death. And that is the only way he likes people. He really doesn't get interested in their personal lives.
However, there is one person whom he is most uninterested and yet the most interested in. That is his "greatest triumph," Iori Sugiura. He is not attracted to her, nor was he he ever. In fact, he simply saw use out of her. He thought he could turn her into a successor for him in three ways: spiritual, physical, and genetically. He thought he could mold her broken pieces into something resembling his own self, as well as training her in a more dishonorable style than she learned. And despite never being attracted to her, he knew she had child-bearing hips and good natural traits. However, all three failed. Her pieces were not broken enough for him to be able to manipulate her how he wanted. And because of that, Beunor broke her more. He knows that she is alive now, and that doesn't interest him in the slightest. He broke her once, she won't be as fun to break again. However, it's still fun for Beunor to prod at the cracks he left. In fact, it's one of his secret pleasures. Speaking of secret pleasures, he has a fondness for solving jigsaw puzzles during his spare time.
Beunor despises honor. He finds it pointless. To him, honor is something cowards hide behind. To be more specific, Beunor feels that those that use honor as a means to an end are cowards. They claim to search for things of great power under honor. They kill under the name of honor. They wage war under the name of honor. It disgusts him to no end. What
is honor, exactly? To be honest, Beunor doesn't believe it exists. He hates something that doesn't exist, and that's the reason he hates it. He found that people use the terms "honor," "chivalry," "bushido," etc. to cover their own selfish acts. So to be exact, the fact people use those terms like that is what disgusts him. And that is exactly what he doesn't do. He won't say that it's honor or the like for why he does what he does. No, Beunor will say exactly why he does things. He may
lie about it, but he will not claim that it's something like honor.
And even if he did lie about it, Beunor will eventually tell the real reasonings. That is because Beunor also despises lies and secrets. Granted, he does know that sometimes they have a place. Lying for pleasure, however, disgusts him as much as honor. That is because, essentially, they are the same to him. They both mean the same: a coward. To him, a coward is someone who is afraid to show what they want. Someone who is afraid of the dark is not a coward. Someone who claims they are afraid of the dark to get a light in their room is a coward. People that lie to themselves are the lowest form of humanity and should be on the ground, groveling at the feet of those that can be honest with themselves.
Beunor always makes sure he has a contingency plan for everything. It may not be a grand plan of how to overwhelm any situation, but Beunor is ready for just about any imaginable situation. This isn't even just applied to his battle strategies, though that is where it can be more prevalent. However, he has plans on what to do (for example) if either (or both) of the other two Kings abandon or betray him. He won't divulge what that plan is, but that's one simple plan he has. Beunor also makes sure not to leave things that could tie back to him. He rarely shows up personally on a battlefield for that reason. This is because, currently, there is nothing to tie Beunor to any crimes his organization has done.
General Appearance
Appearance: Beunor is a tall, muscular young man with short black hair and violet eyes. He wears frame less, rectangular-shaped glasses. However, his clothing is very special. Its main feature is the trench coat, long enough to reach the Beunor's ankles. The trench coat is colored blue though the inner lining has a darker tone. Patterned on the trench coat's center front is a wide, black streak. The storm patches on both fronts is black with a white outline, triangular facing downward, in addition to a yellow button near the lower ends. There is a yellow button on the opposite ends of the trench coat's labels, also on both sides. To compliment the shoulders are two yellow buttons. On the back side, there is a single storm patch roughly shaped in the form of the letter "V". The outer end is black, save for the white outlines on both vertical sides, while the inner end has a cyan color. Stretching just beneath this storm patch is another black streak which runs down the center to the end of the trench coat. From the waist down, there are cross-shaped white patterns. The trench coat is held up by a black belt with a gold-colored, rectangular buckle. Attached to it is a loose brown sash used to carry Beunor's Zanpakutou.
Appearance Age: Mid-twenties
Height: 198cm
Weight: 74kg
Natural Abilities
Unreleased Abilities: Fighting Style: Beunor's fighting style goes back to his personality and ties into his Zanpakutou. It is a fighting style meant to force the other person to release their powers. It is one that uses advantages gained by not using one's powers into major weaknesses. It plays on how most people react to being humiliated. He fights bare-handed most of the time with his style. His movements are quick and close. He only moves out of reach for a moment's notice before returning to quite close range. In order to further confuse his opponent, he might even give them a slight kiss on the cheek, which he calls a 'kiss of death.' He finds all of their reactions amusing. Most of the time, he even fights with a hand behind his back. All he wants to do is humiliate his opponent, and what better way than saying "I'm fighting you with one hand, how does that make you feel?" If need be, he will use his Zanpakutou still in its scabbard to further humiliate and taunt his opponent. If there is one fighting style that is all but useless against Beunor, it's Bajiquan. After watching Iori, he analyzed the weaknesses and range of a strike from her Bajiquan. While it is not entirely useless, it is much harder to get a hit on him than it is with any other fighting style. When he uses his Zanpakutou, it means he's getting tired of having to deal with an opponent who won't act like he needs them to. As if to taunt his opponents more, when Beunor draws his sword in a normal situation, he will say "Beunor, Battō," which means "Beunor, Ready for Battle." If he needs to draw it in a rapid way to defend himself, he will say "Beunor, Kinkyū Battō," which means "Beunor, Ready for Emergency Battle."
Holl Ddynion y Brenin: (Welsh; lit. All The King's Men) This is a special ability, gained by Beunor's history. When Beunor fights an opponent, if they openly identify as a knight (this would include Knight Sugiura naturally) or a king, as well as anyone from the Round Table, will have extra damage done them. This isn't done like a deeper cut, but any armor donned will be useless.
Marble Breaker (マーブル ブレーカ;Māburu Burēka): A Reality Marble is, in essence, a representation of the caster's soul. The cheap knockoffs of Reality Marbles create an alternate reality or dimension as determined by the caster. When someone uses a Reality Marble (or a knock-off of it), the abilities of it are completely unusable. If he goes against Unlimited Blade Works, the weapons would be completely untouchable. Essentially, Marble Breaker "breaks" the physical connection between the people within it and the Reality Marble itself. However, the mental connection is not severed. This means that while the user can not use the Reality Marble, the energy drain from it still exists. In fact, it is not hampered from the effects of Marble Breaker. To better describe its effect, the user is disconnected from the Reality Marble but the Reality Marble is still tied to the user. The deadliest part of this ability is that it really
isn't an ability. It is Beunor's existence. This is the effect of the "Destroyer." To Beunor, there is always an opposite person. "If there is someone who stabs, there is someone who slashes; if there is someone who impales, there is someone who heals; if there is someone who creates, there is someone who destroys." Marble Breaker is essentially his rejecting other's ideals and realities, and torturing those who have strong ideals and realities. The main drawback is that he can't turn it off. This is a good thing, but it is also a horrible thing. If a Reality Marble is strong, it takes more away from Beunor. Essentially, Beunor's existence is weakened the stronger the Reality Marble is. However, it doesn't affect anything except the rest of his magic skills. At most, his skills are reduced by 1/3, which is still dangerous. The other drawback is that, as stated above, Reality Marbles and the like can build up a resistance to Marble Breaker. The resistance is normally solidified after it is exposed to Marble Breaker thrice. However, some cases where the opponent is nothing but a termite compared to Beunor's overall power-level the resistance appears only after 5 uses. If Beunor had an ally with a Reality Marble, even its effects would be useless, as Marble Breaker is indiscriminate.
Sanrankūhaku (散乱空白; Jap. Scattering Space ): An ability that could be called a custom Kidou of Beunor's. It acts much like the 'walking on air' ability of Reiatsu manipulation. However, it acts closer to kidou than it does that. This is because Sanrankūhaku can be used in other ways rather than the walking on air. The reason it can be compared to it is because it hardens the ambient reishi in an area to create surfaces. These can be used as shields or as platforms. There are two types of uses for Sanrankūhaku. The first can, at most, be a 4-meter diameter circle that is 30 centimeters thick. Those can be deployed without much energy and are stationary. The second type requires Beunor to be stationary. It is closer to a bowl that catches and can withstand much larger attacks, as well as more powerful ones.
Unnamed Dimensional Transportation: It is unnamed, but Beunor can open a dimensional transport much like a Senkaimon in appearance. However, it has the ability to open in nearly any location like a Gargantua. Its appearance is like two rustic wooden double doors. To open it, it requires a key, which Beunor keeps hidden on his person.
Zanpakutō: Beunor's Zanpakutou is quite different than a normal one. Beunor has a non-Japanese Zanpakutou. It is a cavalry sabre 100 centimeters long, locked in its hilt. If it is drawn from its hilt in an area with any sort of spiritual energy, the Shikai will release. The handle is golden coloring with a streak of blue near the tip, which is adorned with a sphere that emits a green light when Beunor is about to unsheathe the weapon. The button appears to be connected to the sheathe; once it emits the light, the lock on the hilt is released. The sheathe is dark blue and contains several golden colored straps over it.
Zanpakutō Release Phrase: "Sound the requiems."
Other Weapons: None
Zanpakutō Spirit
Zanpakutō Spirit Name: Eden no Hebi (エデンの蛇; Jap. Snake of Eden); Hazama (nickname by Beunor)
Zanpakutō Spirit Appearance: Hazama's eyes are definitely his most noticeable trait. They are almost always closed, even in battle. They appear as two black slants that can convey as much emotion as an open eye. His eyes are actually a special color of gold which is closer to yellow. They glow like a glowstick when open, giving him an eerie presence in dark. Even when open, his iris and pupil are both smaller than a normal person's. His pupils are distorted and change shape regularly on a random basis. These forms are nothing truly abstract or detailed like his pupils being the Mona Lisa. Instead, they are simple shapes with no shadowing inside. His most common shape is a cat eye-like sharpened oval.
Hazama's hair is even more odd than his eyes. A stark contrast from his other aspects, he has a light green hair color. The reason behind his coloring is unknown, but it is not a dye. While he was not born with this hair, it has become a natural color for him. His longest strand of hair is just below his earlobe. Hazama's hair is symmetrical except for a slight sway to the left. His bangs are tightly woven together and point to the center. The middle of his hair has a large collection of his bangs that gives him an almost helmet-like look. On both sides of his head, there are two groupings of longer hair, with two smaller sets in the rear and three more sets towards the front.
While Hazama's hair is unique, it is not usually entirely seen. This is because he wears a low-cut black homburg with a charcoal grey grosgrain sweatband. Unlike the common fedora, homburgs have no creases and are fixed in style. He wears this hat everywhere and anywhere. It seemingly can reginerate, or he has a hammerspace full of replacements. He is constantly seen pushing the brim of the hat down over his eyes, hiding them even more.
To match his formal hat, Hazama wears a white cotton button-down shirt. The shirt is always worn tucked into his pants. The eight buttons are inlaid with an elegant Ouroboros on them. Most of them are covered by his black silk half-tie. The half-tie is cut off about 5/7 of the way down into a flat horizontal edge. Over the white shirt is a black vest. Like the shirt, its buttons have an Ouroboros, albeit mirrored. The vest is similar to that of a bartender's, which makes no sense as he has never worked even close to a club in his lifetime. On his hands, he wears a pair of leather straps across his palms. They are known as "blade catchers." They have no amplifiers to his punching damage, but he can catch a sword (if it isn't swung fast enough {Iai users are the best antidote to his catchers}) which is a great tool against Shinigami.
Over the vest, there is a longcoat. It extends to about five inches above his knees and about seven inches from the bottom of his zipper. The jacket is three layers but is only about as thick as one and a half. The three layers are, in order: cotton, carbon nanotubes, kevlar. This makes his jacket incredibly durable while being almost unlimited in movement. It is not split in the back, and he wears it open all of the time. It is slightly shorter than his undershirt. The lapels (flaps on the sides of the coat's open section) are peaked, which is unique for this kind of jacket. It has a pair of belt buckle-like attachments that are attached via a button flap near the bottom. The buttons again have an Ouroboros. The most used feature of his jacket is a pair of side pockets. They button with the same type of button, but inverted. On the sleeves, there are also buttons like that, apparently for cuff links.
Hazama's pants are also custom-made. The most interesting feature of the black cotton pants is the dual belt loop idea. Hazama has a pair of brown belts, which are attached around the belt buckle by a pair of titanium bars. The belts are leather and the buckles are .999 pure gold. Back to the pants, they are like the jacket in that they have Kevlar, carbon nanotubes, and cotton as layers. They are almost skin tight but do not remove any movement. The legs flare out at the end slightly. His pants are slightly longer than they should be and cover the entire top of his shoes.
The brown steel-toed shoes Hazama wears are completely custom-made. The shoes are made of kevlar, leather, and a thicker layer of carbon nanotubes. In the heel and toe, there are hidden blades of 1" and 3" respectively. The blades are easily replaced and can even be shot out. However, the most interesting feature of the shoes is the soles. The soles have small, almost microscopic needles in them. This gives him enhanced kicking ability, as a kick will most likely cause light bleeding. However, the main use of them is enhanced grip. The grip is so enhanced, Hazama can run on ceilings and walls.
- Spoiler:
Zanpakutō Spirit Personality: Hazama acts for one thing and one thing only: his own enjoyment. No matter what, he does anything to get a "kick" out of someone. Hazama is a
master actor and give off the appearance of an almost aloof man. This is normally soon followed by a clever retort. He has a great ability to piss people off, no matter what. Those that have a power he needs, he takes a peculiar liking to him or her. This is mainly him taunting the target or even attacking them indiscriminately. Hazama has shown himself to be highly manipulative and deceptive. He comes out unscathed due to the calm confusion he plays at, which is a testament to his overall strategy. He has been known to be capable of simple deception by having his opponent focus o-n one thing to hide the true threat. When Hazama gets pissed,
he gets pissed.
Zanpakutō Spirit's World: Shikai
Shikai: Ō Kotsu no Kishi-Tachi yo (王笏の騎士たちよ; Jap.Ye Knights of the Scepter)
Shikai Appearance:Shikai Abilities: Honō no Katachi (炎のカタチ; Jap. Shape of the Flame): One of his most potent abilities is Honō no Katachi. It acts much like a Cero mixed with a shield. Honō no Katachi acts like a cero when initially fired. It travels for five meters before expanding. Rather, it "blossoms." The tip of the attack spreads apart, creating a much thinner, but wider, shield-like attack that does not move. It actually doesn't even block anything well. A better way to describe it is a net. It fires in a tight beam that can do damage, but it truly is a net. The opponent would think it's an attack in itself, and a very linear one. A normal opponent would dodge enough to avoid the attack, and that's it. Then it expands while they charge. What happens? It is like passing through a thin layer of energy. If a perfect hit, it causes burns up to a 3rd degree and also causes a form of confusion after the opponent passes through it. This can be used once per post.
Kyōkai-sen (境界線; Jap. Border): Another misleading ability of his is Kyōkai-sen. It compresses the reiatsu around the blade's edge and colors it blue. It can then be fired off the edge of his sword, giving the impression he uses either reiatsu-based, fire-based, or wind-based powers. It can be used once per post.
Naisetsu Utsushi (内接写し; Jap. Inscribed Copy): It causes any damage taken by the user to also be dealt to the attacker by reflecting it directly on their soul. The ability causes no wounds to appear, but simply mirrors the pain associated with the wound onto the opponent. The damage will not heal until Beunor's wounds are healed, he succumbs to them, or he goes into his Bankai. The weakness in the ability is that it not only requires Beunor to be wounded, but he must also be alive and conscious, as he must consciously activate the ability by chanting its name. It can only focus on a single target, and it is useless against high-level attacks.
Eiki no Yaiba (鋭気の刃; Jap. Blade of Fervor): Eiki no Yaiba is his true ability. It can be called "control" or "command." It is the reason he wants to taunt opponents. His overbearing energy (though it may not be more powerful than others', his personality makes it seem more overbearing) slowly takes control of abilities. Not before they are fired, but after. This is based on the theory that every ability has its own specific signature. It only applies to one person (ex. if person a uses a cero enough for the signature to be hijacked, person b's cero is unaffected). Eiki no Yaiba basically slowly hijacks the signal of the ability. Once it is hijacked, it can dissipate, slightly change direction (if an attack like a cero), drastically change direction (if a homing-like attack), or stop it altogether. This does not, however, work on passive abilities such as necromancy or boost-style abilities. However, it can work against immunity-style abilities if he comes into contact with it. Natural and unreleased abilities require 2 uses for him to be able to hijack the signal of. Shikai-level abilities require 3 uses for equal or lower tier, 4 for higher tier. Bankai-level abilities require 4 uses for equal or lower tier, 5 for higher. Anything higher in level requires 6 uses.
Bankai
Bankai: Sword of Damocles
Bankai Appearance: Beunor himself does not change in his final form. Nay, he instead summons three swords. Each sword is around 10 meters in length. The first sword is mainly gold in color with a purple orb decorating the hilt. The sword is similar to the Sword of Goujian which has a large blade with intricate patterns decorating it and a thin grip. The sword is also decorated with a cross guard which protecting the side of the grip. The second sword s mainly white silvery in color. This sword has a blade which is proportionally smaller that the sword's grip. The cross guard is protruding downward in a "claw" like shape with large round pommel at the end. The third sword has an appearance reminiscent to a rapier and it's mainly blue in color. The blade has an intricate design with a blue orb decorating the hilt and the sword guard protruding in the "V" shape. It has a thin sword grip with a protector circling around it.
Bankai Abilities: Daraku Shita Ō no Ken (堕落した王の剣; Jap. Sword of a Fallen King): Daraku Shita Ō no Ken uses the story of the Sword of Damocles as a basis. At the conclusion of his Bankai, the swords will fall towards his opponent. It won't be a homing-like attack, but they will fall towards them.
Banshō Naisetsu (万象内接 ;Jap. Inscribed Universe): Banshō Naisetsu is a passive-active ability of Sword of Damocles. As long as he doesn't use another ability in his Bankai during the post, Banshō Naisetsu is active. However, just because it is active, doesn't mean it's going to work. The reason it requires no other abilities to be in use is because it requires Beunor to be concentrated somewhat. To be truly accurate in describing its on-off state, it would be 'awake' and 'sleeping.' The ability is in its passive state when any other ability is being use in a post. It
can be in its active state when Beunor does not use any abilities. If he activates the ability's active state, it stays like that for two posts. However, he can still keep it active for up to two more posts. This means he can't use any of his other abilities, unless he exits Bankai and Daraku Shita Ō no Ken activates. Now, Banshō Naisetsu is essentially him rejecting the physical state of things around him. It applies to everything that is a physical object without self-awareness. Trees, buildings, doors, computers, and even weapons without a soul attached all fit into the category of what he can reject. In a 10-meter radius around him, anything like what is mentioned above can be rejected and can be separated into their particles. However, there is a 50-centimeter safe zone where nothing is rejected. This is really a sphere with a diameter of 100 cm in every direction. To be honest, he can't control the ability. It simply rejects as much as it can. Of course, larger and more dense things take much longer to reject than smaller things. He can use it twice per release with a four post recharge period.
Amagoi no Odori (雨乞いの踊り; Jap. Rain Dance): Amagoi no Odori is another feint ability. It uses his own reiatsu to create a torrential downpour of reishi swords. It works like a Quincy's spirit weapon, as it fires from the sword above him. It can be used once per post. Note: they can be wielded by those with a similar reiatsu signature to Beunor.
Tokkun (特訓; Jap. Crash Course): Tokkun is Beunor's special ability around his sword. It is a feint ability, like most of his other abilities, but it is not a weak one. It is based around cavitation, which is the formation and then immediate implosion of cavities in a liquid – bubbles – that are the consequence of forces acting upon the liquid. To be specific, it is inertial cavitation. This is the process where a void or bubble in a liquid rapidly collapses, producing a shock wave. Thus, it basically creates a drilling/propeller effect. However, it is not a sharp drilling. No, it is an almost-flat drilling effect. That is because Beunor does not use it to penetrate. Instead, he uses it to mangle and tear. This is because the shape of the twisting shockwaves are not in a "stereotypical" drill style, but rather in an
auger style.
Chikai no Yaiba (誓いの刃; Jap. Blade of Oath): If Eiki no Yaiba is "command," then Chikai no Yaiba is "conquer." Chikai no Yaiba uses the same concept of Eiki no Yaiba. The concept is that of "every ability has a signature." However, Chikai no Yaiba works in a much different way. Natural and unreleased abilities require 1 use for him to be able to hijack the signal of. Shikai-level abilities require 2 uses for equal or lower tier, 3 for higher tier. Bankai-level abilities require 3 uses for equal or lower tier, 4 for higher. Anything higher in level requires 5 uses. Unlike Eiki no Yaiba, Chikai no Yaiba does not control the ability. In fact, it copies part of the ability--the appearance. While it looks like the opponent's ability, it is far from it. If the opponent takes any form of damage from the copied ability, its signal is "blocked." This does not mean that the ability is useless overall. No, it is only useless against Beunor. As long as he is in the thread, that ability can not be used. It lasts even after Beunor's Bankai has ceased. After three further releases of his Bankai after the thread (if any threads were started during the thread that he "hijacked" the signal in, they do not count), the hijacking wears off. However, if the attack
misses, Beunor can't "hijack" an ability until he seals then re-releases his Bankai.
Past & Roleplay Sample
Character Background: Elaine, the daughter of King Pelles, the Grail King, used magic to trick Sir Lancelot into thinking that she is Queen Guinevere, whom Lancelot loves. King Pelles has already received magical foreknowledge that Lancelot will give his daughter a child and that this little boy will grow to become the greatest knight in the world, the knight chosen by God to achieve the Holy Grail. King Pelles also knows that Lancelot will only lie with his one true love, Queen Guinevere. Destiny will have to be helped along a little, therefore; a conclusion which prompts Pelles to seek out "one of the greatest enchantresses of the time", Dame Brusen, who gives King Pelles a magic ring that will make Elaine take on the appearance of Queen Guinevere.
Sir Lancelot and Elaine sleep together, but on discovering the deception, Lancelot at first tries to kill Elaine for her complicity, but when he finds out that they have conceived a son together, he is immediately forgiving; however he does not marry Elaine or even wish to be with her anymore and returns to King Arthur's court. The young Beunor is born and placed in the care of a great aunt, who is an abbess at a nunnery, to be raised there.
"Galahad" was Lancelot's original name, but it was changed when he was a child. At his birth, therefore, Beunor is given his father's own original name. Merlin prophesies that Beunor will surpass his father in valour and be successful in his search for the Holy Grail. King Pelles, Beunor's maternal grandfather, is known as a descendant of Bron, Joseph of Arimathea's brother-in-law, whose line was entrusted with the Grail by Joseph.
Upon reaching adulthood, Beunor is reunited with his father Sir Lancelot, who knights him. Sir Beunor is then brought to King Arthur's court at Camelot during Pentecost, where he is accompanied by a very old knight who immediately leads him over to the Round Table and unveils his seat at the Siege Perilous, an unused chair that has been kept vacant for the sole person who will accomplish the quest of the Holy Grail. For all others who have aspired to sit there, it has proved to be immediately fatal. Sir Beunor survives this test, witnessed by King Arthur who, upon realizing the greatness of this new knight, leads him out to the river where a sword lies in a stone with an inscription reading “Never shall man take me hence but only he by whose side I ought to hang; and he shall be the best knight of the world.” (The embedding of a sword in a stone is also an element of the legends of Arthur's original sword, The sword in the stone.) Beunor accomplishes this test with ease, and King Arthur swiftly proclaims him to be the greatest knight ever. Sir Beunor is promptly invited to become a Knight of the Round Table, but under the name "Galahad." Soon afterwards, King Arthur's court witnesses an ethereal vision of the Holy Grail. The quest to seek out this holy object is begun at once.
All of the Knights of the Round Table set out to find the Grail. Beunor for the most part travels alone, smiting his enemies, rescuing Sir Percival from twenty knights and saving maidens in distress, until he is finally reunited with Sir Bors and Sir Perceval. These three knights then come across Sir Perceval’s sister who leads them to the grail ship. They cross the sea in this ship and when they arrive on a distant shore, Perceval’s sister is forced to die to save another. Sir Bors departs from the company in order to take her body back to her own country for a proper burial.
After many adventures, Sir Galahad and Sir Perceval find themselves at the court of King Pelles and Eliazar, his son. These men are very holy and they bring Galahad into a room where he is finally allowed to see the Holy Grail. It was then that Beunor realized the Holy Grail they had searched long and hard for was nothing but a fake. The real one never truly existed on Earth, and that made Beunor question many things. The first was his father. Did he lie to me to keep my hopes up? Then, it was Arthur. Did he lie to me for his own glory? Then it was to Perceval. Did he lie to me for his own amusement? It was at that moment that Beunor, the once proud knight, snapped. He killed Perceval, King Pelles, and Eliazar in one movement.
Beunor never returned to Arthur to seek trial, he had no honor left. He claimed Pelles's kingdom for his own, where he ended up burning the massive territory to nothing but a charred wasteland, still uninhabitable to this day. He understands both have their own goals and doesn't get in their way as long as they don't get in his. Beunor also began to create Aumaan, a fortress in an underground cavern behind the Treasury of Petra. While it is complete now, Beunor has yet to launch an attack...
