Personality: Lasciel, obviously, has multiple faces and multiple names. However, there appears to be one personality that dominates all. She is power-hungry, ruthless and willing to step on who she needs in order to get what she wants. She has a particularly severe hate for the Soul Society and the Shinigami within, and is more than ready to attempt to destroy it from within. As a result, she has chosen to take on the face and body of the woman formerly known as Manae Ichijou. Of course, there are times when she needs to keep up the illusion--this is when Manae's personality shows up.

Manae is loving, kind, sweet and absolutely adorable. She wants to see everyone happy, often sacrificing her own happiness to give it to others. She is devoted to the people that she cares about, to the point of selflessness, at times. However, she is also unusually aggressive when it comes to those people she cares about being hurt. She has often killed because someone she cares about has been injured by another. Small pieces of Lasciel's personality have infected Manae's. Strangely enough, however, pieces of Manae's personality have also infected Lasciel's.

Illusionist: This is the power that allows Lasciel to deceive, seduce and generally create havoc amongst her enemies. She is capable of very easily creating illusions in an area around her that last as long as she wishes. However, these illusions are certainly not infallible--they are only capable of manipulating two of the six senses that any being has. These six senses are as follows:

Sight, Sound, Touch, Taste, Smell, Spirit.

Up to two of these senses can be manipulated by a singular illusion. For instance, if Lasciel were to create the illusion of a body on the ground, she would only be able to have it, for example, manipulate sight and spirit. If someone were to attempt to touch the body, their hand would go through it, and they would immediately see it as an illusion. Someone watching from the side, however, would not see their hand go through--their eyes are still telling them that it's a body, so they'd be tricked into seeing the person's hand touching it. Lasciel can also wrap herself in one of these illusions--if it's around her body, she is capable of manipulating three of the senses that any being has, but still just as easily seen through.

Zanpakutō Appearance: Lasciel's Zanpakutō appears as a small, curved knife with various symbols etched into the blade. It doesn't appear to have any real combat usage.

Resurrección

Resurrección Name: Deceit
Resurrección Release Phrase: I am One with You

Resurrección Appearance: The blade doesn't change. Frankly, not much seems to change--Lasciel's body doesn't undergo a transformation, and she doesn't really seem to get any stronger. Her spiritual power is muted, and she even appears to get weaker. If anything, she doesn't act like she's released. She doesn't appear to change.

Resurrección Abilities:

Illusionary Face: This is what causes the most trouble between Lasciel and her targets. She is capable of taking on the face of another being, as long as her Resurreccion lasts. The thing is, her Resurreccion can effectively last forever. This is because it's a minimal-energy-use power that has no battle applications. It doesn't enhance her strength in battle. It doesn't cause her to reach the strength level of the target. There are also stipulations for its use.

• The target must be dead.
  
• She must have access to the body within thirty minutes of its death.
  
• There must be nobody around to recognize that she is taking the body's identity.
  
• The body will be destroyed when she takes its identity.
  
• She will only have memories from the target up to a year previous to their death.
  

This illusion affects all six senses, so it's not possible to discern it as fake from the outside. It requires knowledge of the person being mimicked. Her weapon becomes that of the target's in appearance, but she does not gain their abilities. If someone works out that she is fake, they will never be tricked by that specific illusion again.

Past & Purpose

Character Background:

Little is known about Lasciel, as she has made good on her promises to destroy all evidence of her existence. It's only known that she has been around for a long time, flitting from place to place, keeping an eye on the proceedings of the world. She has used her powers to take over the faces of political figures and used their power to wage wars, create hatred and build confusion. Few knew where she came from, only that she had been an underling of every Eighth Espada for a long time. However, she grew particularly close to her most recent master--and this posed a problem when he was finally killed.

Her body shivered and her strength failed her, as she reached out a hand towards her falling Master. The man who had killed him--a wild-eyed red-headed Shinigami--seemed to falter afterwards, falling to the ground beside the newly-dead woman. She held back tears, getting to her feet and quietly approaching her master. She tried to speak out to him, but he would not reply. He was gone from this world already. She looked over at the red-head and produced a weapon from her waist, raising the curved knife high into the air in preparation to execute him... and then stopped. Her gaze turned to the body of Manae, laying there on the ground. Her eyes glinted, and she placed the blade at the dead girl's throat. "I am One with You, Deceit." The blade glowed, and Manae's body vanished into the aether. Kneeling at where it was, Manae stood with the self-same blade in hand. She giggled softly, straddling the unconscious Daigoro and leaning in close to his ear.

"I see. You loved this woman, didn't you? I could've killed you, you know. Right here, right now." Her hips moved back and forth along his body, her breathing slowly getting more excited, "But I didn't. You want to know why? Because I want to destroy you. I want you to experience loss, and not at the hands of those who you hate--but the woman you love the most. She's gone forever, and I'm here in her place. I'm going to take everything away from you, when I am finally strong enough to do so. And when I do~?" She gave her hips one last jolt and giggled, "I'll slit your throat in ecstacy." Her giggled remained as her body vanished, leaving just Daigoro and her former master behind.

And so it stands that, from then until now, she has plotted and planned. She hasn't given up the face of Manae in years--simply so that she can continue to prepare her revenge.

Purpose: The main antagonist of Daigoro Ito's personal plot.
