Intro
James is a complex person. While he loves helping others and also loves those things which are upholding, right, and just... He at the same time lies to himself about certain things. He dislikes hypocrites but can be a hypocrite himself and hates when that happens. He often has low self-esteem but when he gets close to someone, his true abilities and motivations come out. He has a wild imagination and is deeply curious about some things. His personality can be very addictive about certain things, showing passion he would not normally. His energy can blindside others at times, but be extremely lackadasical in others. He loves to be the conceptual representation of the cat and loves cat-like things, but he truly only likes the way in which they move, which he finds very attractive. He is completely straight and finds the idea of himself being with another man to be repulsive. He is extremely chivalrous, which can blind him to certain things at times, but loves straight and true. He remains true to his religious beliefs and whenever he does anything wrong his consciousness nags him until he fixes it.  

Love
When he loves, he loves deeply. He loves intensely; he love with a love that would be willing to die painfully, inflicted by torture to endure for and then killed brutally by a device that he himself would set up. He sees love as the biggest driving force that a man and a woman can have for one another. To accept suffering for their sake, to feel pain so that their lives can be improved... That is what he sees as true love beings. He views it as literally 'willing the good' of the other, which means that those who he loves he will NEVER try to do anything bad towards or do anything that will cause bad for them. If he does, he beats himself up over; but most of the time he gets it right. Finally, he views love as something that a man should have for a woman, and only one woman; that they should belong to one another and completely support the other, accept the entirety of them. Love, to him, is blind. He loves to love.

Life
His life is to him a very, very precious gift; one which he enjoys to its fullest. As a result he indulges himself in all his allowable pleasures of this life, but at the same time limits himself from doing so when he knows that he has work that he must perform. He enjoys using his senses. He enjoys eating food, he enjoys listening to music, he enjoys smelling good scents. He enjoys the feeling of his skin on that of another such as in an embrace or handshake; and he loves the beauty of nature and those things that can become the apple of his eyes. For him, the mortality of life is a strange contradiction. It feels, to him, as if it has already ended and he is only still around by some twist of fate, and therefore could end at any moment and he would not mind. But at the same time, it feels as if it will never end, and that the world around him he has close enough connections to that he does not desire to leave it.

Happiness
He enjoys being happy most of all. It can be hard at times for him to let himself be happy; a lot of the time it can be made much easier if another person he trusts tells him to be happy, as strange at that sounds, it is the true. He enjoys being talked to and told things, as his happiness is helping others. By fulfilling their wishes, it is more likely that he is able to help them be happy, and therefore his desires are fulfilled and he himself is happy.

Loyalty
His loyalty is second to next to none. When he has labeled someone as a friend, he will do whatever is within his power to help them. He will enjoy their company and desire that there was more time in this life to spend with them. He will go through pains even for himself if he believes that it will help them. He will go through pain for them, because he wishes that they are made better by the actions he has performed from them. This loyalty can be slightly tainted at times due to his desire to do it himself; though more often he is thankful. There are still some cases where he desires that he himself could have done the helping for them, as he wants to use every opportunity to help them that is within his power. This is one of the most central pillars of his personality, and to defy it brings to him the greatest possible shame.

Lingering Loyalties
Even after he has lost loyalties with certain people due to spreading away from them due to not talking with them, he still ensures that their memory is treated with the respect it deserves. He hates to lose those people who he is close and loyal towards; he beats up himself if he is not able to connect with them again, and when they impose it instead of him he becomes extremely depressed over it. He finds that he cannot let go of certain things; he is very clingy about those things that he cares about, and willingly breaking relationships with others is one of the absolute hardest things it is for him to do. It often leads to moments filled with tears, sadness, and groans of pure despair.

Inability to Hate
He cannot truly hate anyone. He can become angry, he can become infuriated, even, but he cannot bring himself to hate any single person. How could he expect to ever be forgiven by anyone if he himself, cannot forgive? While he may dislike and avoid someone to avoid hating them, he never truly reaches the point where he would actively will their bad. He may not will their good, but he would want to simply stay away from them the best that he could. Truth be told, he never desires to be irritated; and if able, never have to irritate anyone else. He is a dreamer, wishing for peace between all... but that can never be the case, and knows it. And that... makes him very sad. Very, very sad.

Hatred of Sins
He is VERY capable of hating actions that people take. He hates murder, he hates discrimination, he hates the slaying of babies by the sword, he hates the hatred that can worm its way into peoples hears, he hates pointless drama. He will do everything he can to oppose sin, to make it go away, to make the minds of people around him as pure as snow that can only love and help the people around them, improving the entirety of the world. To him, Sin is always an offense against love, every single time. They prevent a person from being able to love as they should; they prevent enabling others to love. They prevent the good of all people as a result, and therefore should be opposed and stamped out in his mind.

Hyperactivity
There are times, however, when he can become EXTREMELY hyperactive. His brain can locked onto certain sayings, and when they begin pouring from his mouth he simply finds it IMPOSSIBLE to calm down. He gets hyper, he gets loud, he gets rowdy. He laughs and makes others laugh; he says things that he probably shouldn't but at the time fit. He is an extremely affable person and this is an extension of it. He has been known to let out the odd "Voi" here and there when absolutely, positively, MAXIMALLY excited, though at no other point. This hyperactivity relates to his extreme level of passion when he reaches it, and reflects his addictive personality as well as it can lead to this.

Meditation
He also has the ability to simply meditate. This reflection on his own mental state, of seeing a problem clearly, of changing around the sense of hismelf to perhaps that of another or to the outside world from his present location, is one of his greatest skills. He has quite a powerful 'mind's eye', and can visualize things within it in a three dimensional spectrum, it seems to him. This meditation makes it so that he is occasionally slow in replying, but means that he tends to handle arguments very well and also handle the rest of his life in a way that fulfills his desires.

Faith in Marriage
He has intense belief in the unity between a man and a woman. He believes that unity is consummated with the sexual action, and that it is right and just for a man and woman to have sex together. Anything that can be done in order to safely enhance it, to him, is fine. Anything that causes them to hurt one another, on the other hand, he has troubles with accepting; other strange fetishes to him are, well, strange. He finds the concept of oral sex to be nearly disgusting from the male's end as the amount generated by it can never produce children and the man and woman cannot both interact with another. He quite frankly does not understand the concept of anal sexual activities, and overall would just like men and women to help create more men and women by using their parts made specifically for that purpose in the best way possible while enjoying themselves. "The creative act is the act closest to that of God; so no wonder humans desire so much to perform sexual activities."

Faith of God
He has a belief in the Abrahamic God, who was birthed on earth as Jesus, son of Mary, and the Holy Spirit which remains on the planet to aid the followers of God. Even after dying, he has maintained his faith; his trust in God is that no matter what may be happening in the world around him, it is the will of the Creator that has led it to such. In his mind, the Creator created all of this for them to explain; they most certainly had some things wrong, but that shows the ignorance of humans themselves, He believes that humans need God in order to allow themselves to be whole. Without God, to him, the world simply cannot be complete, no matter what.

Destiny of Saving Others
He has a belief that it is his destiny to ensure the destinies of others. The reason he fights, the very reason he draws breath, the reason he can justify his existence on this planet... Is because he believes it is the way in which he can justify his existing. So long as he is able to help others, he feels he deserves to remain alive. So long as he is alive, he is able to help others. It is this cyclical nature that has kept his life being able to run the way it has without him ever getting bored. After all, the world around him will always be dynamic, and as a result things will always change. As things will always change, people will always need help... So therefore, he will always continue to advance his destiny.

Complete Devotion of Others
His regard to himself is little to none. Pain inconveniences him because while in pain his body does not let him perform the things he wants it to properly. This is both his greatest and worst trait. Because of the fact that he wants to help others, it is a fantastic traits as it contributes to loyalty and the happiness of people around him. Because he does not care about himself, it can lead to him damaging himself in the blind spot between preserving himself for others and helping others. He knows this may be a serious problem... but he simply cannot will himself to change it. He cannot turn himself away from the only answer to why he is alive that he has ever known, no matter what may happen to him as a result of it. That is the way that he keeps his head held high.

Nagging Sense of Self
At the same time, he has a nagging sense of himself. He realizes all the traits about himself that may drive others away from him, and that makes him sad. He realizes there are certain traits within him that he wishes he could please, and sometimes wants to fulfill them, though he rarely does so unless it is to help someone else. As a result, his own desires usually irritate him, as he wishes that he could help them grow to fruition but knowing that they would likely only harm him in the long run due to his own addictive personality. He knows himself, and that perhaps is the thing he dislikes most; he knows the flaws that he can have and does his best to correct them whenever he can.

Distaste of Self
He is distasteful towards himself, in his heart of hearts. While he may think that he is neutral towards himself and 'overall, not bad' and therefore he doesn't lie when others ask what he thinks of himself, the truth is that he is actually lying although he himself does not know it. He is lying to himself as well as the outside world... and at the worst, he realizes that he is probably doing it, though he does not know for sure, and that his mind is probably too complex for him. It's a good thing overall that he tries not to think about it; he'd likely only hurt himself if he did.

Low Self Esteem
Overall, he has a fairly low self esteem. He puts his destiny outwards towards helping others; this means that his esteem and motivations come from the outside. This is why he is so careful in who he chooses as friends, and always learns the best way to help them before truly opening himself up to their emotional states. On the basest level, he isn't looking for approval from himself; after all, his goal isn't personal. His goal is outwards, and therefore he looks for approval away from him... meaning that most of all, he wants people that can support him. He craves attention, he craves most of all for someone to belong to him and he to them. That is his absolute deepest desire... but he doesn't know if it will ever be truly filled, therefore it only contributes to the lack of self-esteem which he possesses.

Extreme Creativity
He regards creativity as being one of the skill with which he is the best at. To him, it is more than just a skill; to him it is a major facet of why he is alive. He is a very creative person, independent of others ways of thinking when it truly counts. In fact, one of his favorite ways of dealing with situations is combining knowledge which he gained from different sources and combining them in the best ways possible. He is the type of person who would become upset if he came up with a unique name for a team and it was beaten out by an extremely simple one. He prefers that things are always done creatively, as it makes him think, and to him, thinking is extraordinarily important.

Instability
However, this individual is by far not the most stable. While he tries to hide it at all times, deep within himself he believes there is a part of him who wishes to defy the natural order of things. To finally just take everything on this planet and instead of working ot help it, simply breaks it all down completely and forces it to be the best way possible. This is the side of him that comes out when his stress threshold reaches its absolute limit; in times of peace and day-to-day interactions, it remains completely sealed away inside of him. It is only in times of extraordinary stress or discomfort when it reveals itself. In reality, he has never had to truly and completley enter this state of mine; he has learned over time how to use it to his advantage. By allowing himself to hover within it for a time he can force his body to relax; it is a self-defense mechanism the way that he uses it. By putting himself in this state and relaxing with people who he knows understand him and will tolerate it, allowing him to calm down by entering that state of snapping that is not the completely snapped state of mind.

Warped Doctor
He has quite a bit of practical medical knowledge, accompanying his policies and ideals of helping others. This knowledge becomes warped the most when he is in this state of mind, and the appearance he feels the most comfortable with is a mad doctor. A doctor who wishes still to do things for his patients, but no longer cares about the policies to perform the operations. His mind becomes obsessed with the scalpel as a weapon and tool, and his movements constantly feel as if they require adjusting to avoid any kind of stress that could fall upon it.

Instability: Removing of Bonds
The reason why this state is so strange is because it disregards the bonds that James has made in his day to day life. It still recognizes them as existing; the state of instability still has the principles and knowledge of the stable. The biggest difference is that he believes himself to be principally different than the normal James; he knows how James is, and therefore he cannot be James because his thoughts towards James'  principals are so different. This means that he will simply laugh, and laugh, and laugh, and force himself to keep laughing; to laugh at all the problems, all the troubles. After all, in laughter and complete relaxation James' mind prevents itself from going insane; and therefore it cannot be held to the same bonds as James is.

Instability: Removing of Responsibilities
Another important trait of the instability is in the removing of responsibilities that James normally feels he has to do. The Unstable James simply does not care about these in the slightest; he laughs about them, he may do them in his capricious nature, but they are unable to stress him out or be forced to concern him. The difference from James is in that he knows them; but he does not feel that he has to do them. The one and only thing that he cares about is James and the things that keep James stable; his friends and family he does not touch or think about ignoring. However, politeness, common courtesy, and respect for figures that he does not care about do not register to him in the slightest, which is why James only lets out these feelings when he is around those whom he trusts.

Instability: Man Without Fear
What it truly comes down to is that Unstable James simply has no fear whatsoever. This makes him extremely dangerous on a mental level, and even a physical one if he is not prepared. This is the biggest advantage that Unstable James has over normal James; while James may be shy or uncertain about certain things, Unstable James has no fear at all, performing tasks and saying things that James himself would never in a million years even begin to contemplate doing.

Addictive Personality
Another main trait of James is that he has a very addictive personality. If he finds something that he likes, he will often get mentally dragged into it, performing it without a second thought until it reaches the point where he craves it. Typically, these things are only things that are constantly able to undergo change, things that cause him to think about them. Such examples would be literature, card games he has experimented with in the past, writing, and other such ventures. He has many interests, and when he begins to become this way towards something, he simply finds it very difficult for him to stop.

Constant Self-Reflection
James is constantly looking back on himself and questioning his actions, motivations, thoughts, and processes. He will often chide himeslf for what he considers are ' bad'  thoughts, whether certain actions match the ideals he has, whether they will truly help others. While this can often lead him into thinking that he has done something wrong and then obsessing over the ramifications of his mistake, it can also allow him to move forwards from difficult actions where he believes he was definitely in the right and prevent him from going back on his decisions. This also means that he thinks about his actions almost all the time before he does them, which can be an asset to himself and the people around him.

Self-Sacrifice
He rarely, if ever, makes sacrifices for himself. When it comes to his resources, he will commonly give things up for the benefits of other people, unless of course he is Unstable. Otherwise, the things he gives up he will give up only for the benefit of someone else; the idea of someone else being able to smile is what makes him smile, so therefore giving things u pfor himself makes him feel greedy, if nothing else. On the one hand, this means that it is even better to bee his friend ad he will do everything to make his friends happy, it is nevertheless bad for himself. For example, if choosing between training his body for himself or attending a community event where he could help people regularly, he would neglect his body in order that others may be assisted.

Intense Brotherhood
Due to his level of devotion to his friends, which is due to his ideals, he forms bonds of brotherhood that are far more intense than most would expect. For him, a woman who has scorned a man whom he considers his brother is unattractive to him, so long as his brother's pursuit was noble and her scorn was uncalled for and handled poorly. Injustice against those he considers his brethren is a large part of who he is; he considers himself an older brother or in a fraternity with most of his male friends. This is because partly it allows him to think about them and how to help them more frequently, but it also allows him to have very strong allies who can help him if indeed there is something that he needs to change to match those ideals which he maintains.

Faith in Logic
He puts a lot of stock and faith within logic. If something does not make logical sense to him in the least, he will not allow for it to be used for the sake of argument. On the other hand, if the logical conclusion he can follow and trace back to its very root, he will allow it to be used and treated as fact. Hypothetical situations are able to be used, to him, so long as they have a logical foundation and conclusion. Within the world of superstition and supernatural abilities, his faith in logic is  perhaps illogical; such a contradiction is just the first of the many things that are contradictory about this individual that he allows to prevent himself from going from Unstable to outright insane.

Faith in Humanity
While on one hand he despairs of humanity, knowing the sins they are able to commit, how often they break ideals and bonds… he at the same time has faith in them and believes that they are essentially good. He believes that the ultimate enemy of humanity is ignorance on what they are to do in life; and while it is not exactly his job to educate them, he can view it being his job to remove those things which would pull them off of the path that they should naturally follow. In this manner, he is helping massive amounts of people, and so therefore against certain political institutions or leaders he can find his drive the absolute most powerful.

Ability to Survive
His ability to survive, his level to adapt and his methods of maintaining his wellbeing are all very impressive. His willpower is good, but that combined with his creativity and his abilities to cope with stress all help him survive where others would perish or fall over. This extends to stressful, and perhaps unmanageable situations as well. He may be torn between two things or concepts, but he will force himself to endure and go through them if he believes that it will help the most people. No matter what trials he goes through, no matter what pains he feels, he will always, always keep pushing himself to get through them. While this can be hard for others to watch, and even for himself in some of his moments of self reflection - as he pities himself in some hours - he will always perform it.

Extreme Tolerance to Stress
He naturally has a very high tolerance of mental stress; this is due to his experience level of dealing with such levels of stress. Throughout his lifetime, he has come to accept stress as something that is part of the human condition; and as a result, while it certainly may collect, it only collects when human beings care about human beings. That is his belief, anyway, and it is why he believes he has such a high threshold and why he has developed one accordingly.

Extreme Tolerance of Others
He has a fantastic ability of being able to deal with the differences and alterations that others have from the way that he thinks and acts. He is quite good when it comes to attempting to understand the thoughts and motivations of others; and therefore, so long as their actions match their intents and beliefs and motivations, he can deal with the differences of just about anyone.

Extreme Intolerance of Hypocrisy
The only thing which he can truly not deal with in other people is hypocrisy. The action of clearly believing one thing and yet willfully choosing to do another he sees as the only unreasonable sin that humans perform. To him, hypocrisy is lying on the deepest level, it is a deceit that goes far beyond any others. It is, to him, even worse than murder; for it not only shows the ultimate betrayal of others, but also the ultimate betrayal of the self. It is the single most concept that he hates the most, and for him, taints people in a way that absolutely nothing else can.

Love of Reading
He dearly loves to read and to experience literature. For him, literature is one of the most important parts of humanity; for it allows humans to progress their learning. While oral tradition is fine and he is a gifted orator, writing ensures flawless passing down of knowledge, ideas, ideals, concepts, and beliefs from one generation to the next. It allows for humans to advance and grow. It is an invaluable tool that is unable to be replaced by anything; for it not only allows for speech and instruction to be relayed… but also thoughts.

Love of Writing
He also quite loves to write. Writing is his single most deepest passion, and can be reflected in the fact that the Legendaire which he cares about most is his Epistle of James. Writing allows him to communicate others, to place down the direct feelings of his heart; to be able to, with total neutrality, give out information. It allows him to enter a world where the sky is the limit; where his dreams and ideals are only limited by what he can think of. And there is a lot that he can think of.

Loneliness
However, the male throughout his life has been shaped by his loneliness. The greatest reason for his feeling that he should always help others as his own destiny stems from the fact that he has felt utter loneliness. He has felt the feeling of being able to share with no one the depths of his heart, of having to carry his own burden all for himself. The reason he has accepted that destiny is that he wants nothing, absolutely nothing, to do with himself. He came to believe through evidence and through his own experience that the one and only way that he could ever cure his loneliness, to cause others to want to be his friend, to bind themselves to him and therefore help in that burden was if he helped them unconditionally. He grew tired of helping himself; he grew tired of the feeling that there was no one, no one who would aid him with the burdens he went through. So he forced himself through the process of shutting out all of his own desires, taking on the problems of others so that in his own moments of weakness perhaps, and only perhaps because he had no way to make certain they would remain close to him… he could depend on them in return, and feel cured of his loneliness.

Intense Affection
The affection he feels for those who gain it is fantastic. For those who deserve it, he will do whatever he can to make them feel happy. For those who he gives his affection as a partner, however, it is slightly different. To them, he gives them affection in such a way that he believes makes them happy… but also in such a way that they would want to return it. His dearest wish for a partner is that they would take the affections which he gives to them and seek to return it back to him. That would truly be the pinnacle of his happiness; and while it has never occurred, it remains his deepest and most cherished desire. Towards his partner he wants to be loyal, to feel bound to them in such a manner that is never loosened on either end… but even more than that, for them to bind themselves as equally back to him, to feel his affections being returned. He loves intensely because he wishes to be loved in return.

Dark Thoughts
There are times when he believes that he simply does not deserve any of the nice things that he has in life; when he forces his emotions to become totally dead out of the reasoning that he has no right to feel sad about anything. He believes that because of what he has done in the past and yet the blessings that he has in his life currently do not equate; and therefore, everything nice he has in this life could be taken from him and he should not feel bad as a result.

Forgetfulness
He can be very, very forgetful at times. This can include things from his work to day to day activities. He never, ever makes promises that he can't keep; however, making him write things down is essential, as anything to help him remember whatever it is that he needs to remember is absolutely vital. He always intends to do everything he says he will - he just honestly doesn't remember them sometimes, or a lot of the time if it's a bad day. Other times he's just plain clumsy, doing things without reason or not thinking through an action and then regretting the consequences. It's what makes him human and is likely a result of his overactive mind.

Sillliness Factor (Unlucky/hapless)

Unfortunately, he has more than just his own forgetfulness, he is also frankly silly at times. When he is relaxed and not particularly intense, which is most of the time, he takes on a rather jovial manner. He prefers not to think when he does not have to; and therefore the ' silliness factor' kicks in. When this silliness is engaged, he takes next to nothing seriously; serious things upset him and he is unprepared for them, in general. This trait is one that makes him human; while he has times that he can be very logical, the silliness is what truly rounds him out.

Animalistic Traits: Down the length of his back, he has a full line of thick fur. Coming out of the base of his spine, he has a fluffy brown tail with about an inch wide bone. It extends for roughly two feet behind him and normally remains underneath his pants. Hidden with his hair but able to fold out at certain times he has a pair of cat's ears, and each of his fingernails have the ability to morph into claws at any time he chooses like a cat. Finally, several of his mannerisms are similar to a cat; his body reacts favorably to sunlight, he can fall asleep and wake up at a moment's notice, and his eyes can shrink inwards towards becoming slits.

Appearance:


A small yellow spear that he literally maintains within the fur in his back; he normally does not use it for anything but surprise attacks, and the possession of it is usually not even hinted at until it has been used. Its attacks have a unique nature in that they can cause highly grievous wounds to opponents; it leaves a magical mark made from James' energy that helps their body 'heal at the natural rate'. This means that it goes against any unnatural healing effects one would have; but at the same time, if used on cursed injuries, can cause them to eventually heal. This effect lasts until the spear is broken; once that has been done, its effects vanish completely. However, the spear has a resistance also gained from being a conduit of James' energy, and therefore is very difficult to shatter.

Légendaire Name: The Cloak of Many Colors
Légendaire Legend: The Legend of the Cloak of Many Colors is the legend of Joseph from the Book of Genesis. Joseph's Cloak of Many Colors was bestowed on him from his father, as he was his favorite son, despite being the second youngest. His brothers, deeply jealous over this matter, performed the exact opposite of what a brother should do, and trapped him deep within a hole for many days. Joseph, the dreamer, had dreams which told of all others bowing down to that which he represented. His brothers, unhappy with this, took him, stripped of his cloak, and threw him into the pit. His cloak was drenched with Goat's blood and given to their father. This cloak was infused with lies in an attempt to help conceal the foul deeds of the brothers; however, they did not do the worst thing possible to Joseph. The cloak is a holy object, but at the same time is one of deceit, creating a strange contrast.

Légendaire Legend:

The Epistile of James in the Bible. James, sometimes called James the Less due to him being the younger James, was the first Bishop of Jerusalem. His book is devoted towards helping Christians, including the Gentiles, learn how to live their lives in the best way. He advocated such policies as not cursing, the dangers of the tongue, and most of all, salvation being found through works. His Epistle was so influential that it became a part of the Canonical Bible of the Catholic Church. During the Protestant Reformation, Martin Luther, who believed in salvation through Faith alone, called the book of James "Mere straw" due to its content.

The Légendaire takes the form of a small black paper-bound book, with only the words "Quærite Deum" on its cover, and on the binding is the word "James".

Oblige:

The Oblige for using the Quærite Deum is that the user must desire purely the aid of another. Even if they desire it for something relating to themselves, they must desire it fully and completely, without the possible sufferings that it could cause to themselves. They must be truly devoted to helping whatever the target is with their mind, body, and soul. Finally, they must initialize the tome by holding it up to their chest and stating: "No Solum Fides."

A cursed spear with an ominous design that was obtained from Scathach in the Country of Shadows by Cú Chulainn. Its name is derived from the term for "serrated throwing weapon", ga bool’ga, evoking an image of lightning. Scathach, the woman, had wished for him to slay her with the spear, but she had already ceased being mortal by the time he received it from her. It is a glory given to only the most gifted of warriors, and it was not utilized once after he left the Land of Shadows until his fight with his close friend, Ferdiad. He later used it again on his son, Connla, when he was backed into a corner during their fight. The spear leaves behind but one regret for him: that it has only taken away the lives of his loved ones.
