Anastasia Hayase [WIP]

Personality: Anastasia loves the calmness of winter. A still lake in the morning-the fog still hovering over the icy mirror is her favorite sight. She doesn't stay in during a rainstorm-she goes to an isolated place and watches it. The unpredictability of nature is what enthralls her. How no two lightning strikes look the same. How no two leaves swirl the same in the wind. All of it is something she could spend days in. However, she also has an equal respect for mankind and its constructions. How two buildings may appear to be the same from the outside, but even without people they are totally different. Whether it be a flaw or decoration, the ability for there to never be two of the same is what excites her. This is why she loves her sister so much. As twins, the two are quite alike in appearance. And yet, they are from the same. The main thing they share would be a love for music.

However, to call it a simple "love of music" is too... broad. It's too simple. Anastasia loves the cracking of voices, the accidental beating of the drums, the small mistakes on guitars that produce a strange sound-the small uniquities that make artists and songs so different from one another. Although Auto-Tune© has taken over many genres of music, Anastasia vastly appreciates those that don't use it. In a world in love with perfection, Anastasia is in love with mistakes. Anastasia is more of a fan of the vocalists than she is those that play the instruments, but she does realize how much work they go through. She never gets why people compare bands to other bands-unless one is covering another band's song-and instead pushes people to listen for a band's individuality even if it does sound similar. She is someone who would much prefer a song of a story or emotion than a song of an idea. Thus the "gangsta rap" songs of the early 21^st century do nothing for her, same for national anthems. However, give her songs that tell a story or express a feeling towards something and she'll listen to them for hours. Because of her feelings towards that, all of her songs have some story to tell or her feelings towards something. She doesn't like to do covers of other people's songs because only they know the stories and the feelings. While she may be able to understand them—they are, in the end, not hers. "I'd rather not take someone's story and try to make it my own. It's not fair to the story and those in it. However, she doesn't mind other people making covers of her songs or others' songs. It's simply that she won't, as she feels that she couldn't repeat their story well enough.

That ties into her doubt. She has a fear not of being in front of people, but not being able to portray the stories or emotions to others. Because of that, she's constantly second-guessing herself. Whether part A should be high or low, how long part C should be held, etc. Only her sister can provide her the confidence that is needed for her newer songs. If she performs her older songs, Iri isn't necessarily needed for that support role... but Anastasia would rather not be on stage without her sister. To compare the two, Iri would be "snow" and Ana would be "ice." Both are beautiful to gaze at and are strikingly similar in many aspects. However, there are major differences. Ana as ice is much more defensive. She has a hard bubble put around her to not let people near her. She starts to fade away when outside and not in ideal conditions. Iri, on the other hand, is more outgoing and friendly. She can stay outside all day and survive with no problem. Ana is much stronger mentally than her sister, although that isn't to say Iri is weak. To put it another way, Ana is far less likely to give in and is far more stubborn than Iri is. However, there are times where Ana is weak and needs Iri's cold-warmth to protect her.  

Ana is very structure-oriented. She has to be early or it throws her off. She always carries at least two books (on everything from SciFi to biographies) to burn time while she is waiting after being early. It takes Ana to be vomiting nonstop or for her leg to stop working completely for her to cancel a show. And even then, she'll always make it up. Same with dates and just normal outings... if she ever goes on any. She'd rather not go out on her off days and instead would rather spend her time working on her songs. She has a dream to perform in every country... but that is not her main dream. Her life-long dream is to hear someone say "You're my inspiration to get into music." Not because of her pride, but so she can reply "Don't thank me—thank those that inspired me and those that inspired them." To her, music isn't something that one person can ever be thanked for... it's something that is learned all throughout culture and time with everyone have some sort of inspiration. Thus, one person can not take credit for being someone's inspiration for they had inspiration and those that inspired those inspirations had their own inspiration, etc. It is a never-ending list. An interesting fact is that none of her solo albums actually have photographs of her on them. It is all fan-designed and selected by Ana herself.

Natural Abilities: Anastasia has no real abilities, other than those related to being a vocalist. She has immense lung capacity, as well as incredible stamina. However, her most important trait is her ability to fluently speak in three languages—Japanese, Russian, and English.
