Mitsurugi, Meiya (WIP)

Basics

Name: Mitsurugi, Meiya (御剣 冥夜 [みつるぎ めいや])

Personality: Meiya is the epitome of a warrior. She is unwavering in spirit. A knife could knick her cheek, and Meiya would continue going. In fact, she would use that strike against her opponent. If he withdrew his arm, she'd dash into its blindspot. If he kept it extended, she'd cut the arm off. Victory is what she wants-and it is what she'll get. Then again, her victory is the same thing every time. No matter the opponent or situation, there is only one thing that she views as victory. That thing is the safety of her lord. As a warrior of her class and caliber, she could easily be a lord on her own. But no, she willingly accepts and bows down to her lord. Everything her lord says is law. Everything her lord orders, she follows without a second thought. Meiya loves and respects her lord. She has never had a partner because she feels the partner would take her away from her lord or say foolish and negative things about her lord. Yes, her lord is her everything.

Meiya does not desire things such as love and compassion. Such things are meaningless to her now. She once did seek them, the same as her lord did. After her lord disappeared, Meiya was out of a job. However, she knew nothing but to protect her lord. Thus, Meiya only practiced her own skills and knowledge as her lord would. That way, she would be just the same as her lord. Because of this, Meiya developed a high social ineptitude. Meiya does know how to greet nobles and servants, and how to order them around. What she does not know how to do is have a friend. In fact, Meiya never had a friend. Meiya was always protecting the lord... so she had no time to be social. This led to many problems. For one, Meiya does not understand innuendo or metaphors. If someone says 'that person is nothing but a shell of their former selves,' Meiya thinks of the person as a literal shell. What type of shell varies, but that's not the point. The fact is, Meiya takes things far too literally. It makes hinting at something quite pointless as Meiya will probably not understand it. It sometimes makes her seem ditzy, but she is far from it. Meiya actually has another thing going for her.

Meiya can pick up a new skill and new knowledge almost superhumanly. This skill was developed by the many years of observing the lord as a bodyguard and double. She was taught the lord's swordsmanship style. She was taught to write like the lord. She was taught to speak the like the lord. All of that, she quickly learned and mastered. She is her own person, but that is secondary to who she is. By that, I mean she does have her own tastes in food, clothing, and such. However, that doesn't change the fact that she was the lord's double first and foremost. Her own emotions are pushed to the side, putting the lord's first. Because of this, Meiya is far from selfish. In fact, she is selfless essentially, but not in the normal sense of the term. Normally, it means someone who gives what they have to others. Meiya is like that, sort of. She gives her mind, body, and soul to protect the lord, and that is all who will get that. That isn't to say she can't love someone else. No, it'd have to be someone close to her lord or someone her lord picks out personally.

Meiya has always been addressed in a formal manner. This is mainly because of her role as her lord's double, but that is not the sole cause. No, the other reason is because the Mitsurugi house is not a low house. In fact, it is a rather powerful political house-which was a reason behind Meiya's selection. Thus, Meiya also has not only her lord's honor, but her family's honor to protect. However, her lord comes before her family always. If her lord ordered the execution of her entire family by her own hand... Meiya would do so. She would not question it, as it is not her place, but she definitely would be depressed. Even after being dismissed from her position, she took the helm of the Mitsurugi family from the shadows. Her face was never seen, and it was her younger sister that was the 'face' of the Mitsurugi for the public. However, it was truly Meiya controlling everything. And thus again, Meiya never recieved normal social treatment. Even her sister never talked to her informally. This makes her slightly... oblivious to things such as modern technology that is being placed around the kingdom. If she ever went to the world of the living, Meiya would hold a conversation with the automated ticket machines that greet you. What's worse, she'd be enthusiastic about that conversation.

Sugiura Class: Knight

General Appearance

Appearance: Meiya, much like her lord, is beautiful. Meiya's skin is soft and light. It is almost incomprehensibly soft. Her eyes are a shimmering, beautiful royal blue. They always look ahead with a piercing gaze. She has a physique much like her lord's. While far from muscular, it is by no means slim. Her muscles are that of a swordsman's. Her arm and waist muscles are well-toned, but her leg muscles are not as defined. This does not mean they aren't toned, quite the opposite in fact. They simply did not get as much focus as the rest of her body. Of course, her muscles aren't the main thing that define her body. Instead, it is both her hair and her breasts. Her breasts are, to be quite simple and blunt, slightly large. They are well-suited for her body, and her role as her lord's double. This makes them one of Meiya's prized possessions, and something no one but her lord has seen. This gives her a very curvaceous figure, yet it is not hourglass in shape. While soft, her hind quarters are mostly lacking in size. Yet, that does not deter its beauty.

While Meiya's hair is a few tints away from her lord's, with a little lighting and outfit changing it can easily be seen as her lord's hair color. It is a lucious blue that borders on indigo and orchid. It is not its color that draws attention, but the style. It is normally styled in a very peculiar manner. There are three main parts: the front, the middle, and the ponytail. The front is styled the most normal of the three halves, as it is symmetrical. Bangs hang slightly above her eyes, angled slightly towards the center. This extends down the sides of her face. This creates a jagged look around her face, but it truly compliments her beauty. The middle is moreso styled after a helmet rather than hair. It is raised higher than the front, and it extends farther down the sides than the front as well. The two raised portions of the middle make it seem like she has cat ears in a way, but there is no way she does. The two extensions down the side extend past her chin, and they extend slightly more forward than the front ones. Then there is the ponytail. Tied by a white silk ribbon, her ponytail is rather long. If she let it down, it would almost reach the floor. Which is why Meiya keeps the first bit of it styled upwards. Then, as it drops, it flares out. Currently, it reaches her hind quarters.

Natural Abilities

Tenkyōfū-ryū (天強風流 [てんきょうふう りゅう]; lit. Heaven's Gale Style): A style created by Her Highness, Saeko. A style meant for Her Highness, Saeko. But, it is not just for Her Highness. As a double, Meiya was trained in the art as well. To call it an art is both and underestimation and an overestimation. This style is not, however, what Saeko currently uses. Saeko's style changed from an elegant, but destructive gale... to a hurricane. However, Meiya's style is essentially the same elegant one from the initial days. A style that is meant to cut, using the properties of one's body. As Saeko and Meiya had a very similar weight distribution, the style is universal to the non-blood twins. Her long legs are used to propel herself in any direction quickly. Her long arms swing the sword with higher momentum. Coupled with her large bust, this increases her strikes' potential to much higher levels. The strikes are meant to kill while also exuding the superiority of the wielder. It uses swift strikes that put wounds pointing away from the inflictor. The opponent's blood is not worthy to be splashed onto the one who cut them down. Even after Saeko "left," Meiya continued to train. What she uses now is the completed version of Saeko's original style. Even though Her Highness's style has been corrupted into something far more sinister, Tenkyōfū-ryū can still match that style. Light balances dark. Good balances evil. The winner in a fight between would be determined by willpower alone.

Magic: Meiya has very little skill in magic, both due to her Class and her upbringing.

Sacred Weapon: Meiya's Sacred is a katana with the handle of an Odachi. It makes it slightly harder to wield, but its counter-balance makes the strikes even more deadly. Its handle is wrapped in black fabric, and the tsuba is well-decorated. There are two "Ms" cut out of it, to symbolize her name in Romaji, Mitsurugi Meiya. Its scabbard is bright red and has white cloth for her to attach to a sash or belt.

Joushou

Joushou Appearance: Meiya's Joushou is rather interesting in terms of appearance. Her clothing is replaced by what is known as the Fortified Suit. Its midsection is made of a reactive material that hardens upon detecting a sudden shock or blow, and a strong neck brace protects pilots from suffering neck injuries during high-G maneuvers.

Despite its apparent material thiness, the suit can insulate Meiya from moderate differences in external temperatures, and contains electronics to regulate and record her vital signs. The Fortified Suit is also equipped with the latest in combat avionics and pilot systems; its headset is capable of high-resolution retinal projection of combat data without the need of a display screen, and can remotely connect to comms system within a 400-meter radius. The Fortified Suit has the capability to inject drugs and stimulants directly into the Meiya's body, and has a water pack that can hold up to 2 liters of liquid; in an emergency, an onboard filtration system can purify the pilot's urine into potable water. Storage of feces is also possible up to 500 grams.

The form-hugging suit also has another psychological function; to represent equality and tear down such civilian thoughts like modesty in-between man and woman, since the battlefield makes distinction for neither. An external jacket is also provided for Meiya in the event of walking around in populated area.




Joushou: Joushou is the first stage of a Sugiura's power. This is like their Shikai. It is only tapping into a small percentage of their power, exactly 25%. It is mainly the form that they dream of, and it is up to the Guardian beast to decide if the wish is to be granted or not.

Zenou

Zenou Appearance: While Meiya retains her Fortified Suit, she also gains something. This something is something that even the most fortified Musha tremble. The Takemikazuchi. While not related to Tsurugi in the slightest, it sure does resemble them. The Takemikazuchi is only matched by a select few Tsurugi, and as befitting of a close-quarters unit, a highly resilent machine. The Takemikazuchi has various parts of its body weaponized for close-quarters contact, including its head crest, fingertips, legs, and the inclusion of bladed weapons mounted in its arms. Its feet structure is different from Tsurugi, utilizing a zygodactyly design. It stands at a massive 9.4 meters, which towers over nearly all Tsurugi.

Zenou Abilities: Meiya retains her Joushou abilities. Her main ability in this form is the Takemikazuchi 武御雷 [たけみかずち])The Takemikazuchi shares its name with a patron deity of military and war arts; the deity's tales are told in the Kojiki literature collection of Japanese Shintoism and the deity is enshrined in the Kashima Shrine. According to legend, the deity was born from the blood that stained the sword used by Izanagi to kill Kagutsuchi. The Takemikazuchi is essentially an extension of her body. It acts like she would. It has speed equivalent of hers, albeit upsized to match the Takemikazuchi's size. However, the Takemikazuchi can defend itself. While it is like a puppet, it also has semi-self awareness. This means that if Meiya is fighting a smaller opponent and a Tsurugi appears, the Takemikazuchi can fight the Tsurugi on its own. Whatever damage done to the Takemikazuchi is transferred to her.
Armaments and Equipment for the Takemikazuchi:

• Type-74 PB Blade: momentum as the weapon's primary means of defeating combatants; the weapon is strong enough to cut through Tsurugi's armor. It can be fitted with a protective sheath that allows it to be used as a training weapon by covering its sharp edges and dampening its impact. The PB Blade is designed with its center of gravity located near its hilt, which allows for better control and faster strikes during combat.
  
• Retractable Dagger: The Retractable Dagger is an arm-mounted weapons system used by the Takemikazuchi. The mounted nature of the weapon allows the Takemikazuchi to quickly draw out a short-range super-carbon melee weapon within a short amount of time, surpassing the deployment/attack speed of other Tsurugi conventionally drawing their swords.
  
• Blade Edge Armor: Sharpened edges and/or components of armor built with special materials to withstand immense shock, blade edge armor components are directly integrated into the shape and frame of the Takemikazuchi itself. In combat, they serve the same purpose of close-range defence during high-speed combat by cutting through things that latch onto the Takemikazuchi. The Type-00's fingertips, headcrest and other frame parts are all Blade Edge Armor. The blade edge armor is a secondary weapons option, however, and should not be taken to have the same effectiveness of the Melee Halberd in combat and should be used as a last-ditch self-preserving act. Its use also results in degradation of its effectiveness, and maintanence of the blade edge armor is neither easy nor cheap, as it takes a good bit out of Meiya to repair it.
  
• Type-92 Supplemental Armor: Hand-carried shields for the Takemikazuchi, using a unique hexagonal-patterned reactive armor plating. The reactive armor explodes upon contact with a surface, making it an excellent weapon if the Takemikazuchi's main weapons are currently occupied. A section of the shield is movable and can be used as a dozer blade or an emergency handguard, allowing the user to punch at targets for greater effectiveness in utilizing the reactive armor plates.
  

Kyuu Kyou

Kyuu Kyou Appearance: The epitome of Meiya's power. The colors of her Fortified suit change to a darker, more military-style scheme. The white turns to dark greys and blacks, whereas the flesh-colored portions are now a light orchid. However, it is not the only thing that changes. The mechanical beast she controls changes as well. From its bright red origins, the Takemikazuchi is now a violet beast. The blue accents are a bright red, reminiscent of her original Takemikazuchi. But that is not the only change. Unlike the original, the final version's multiple sensors are hidden by black-tinted covers, leaving two portions transparent that easily give it the appearance of having two "eyes".

Mystic Eyes of the Victorious: Meiya's Mystic Eyes... are truly fearsome. They have one ability-to see her target. If Meiya has a target in mind, Meiya's eyes will automatically track them. Visual obstructions, invisibility, total darkness, blinding light, or even blinding Meiya will not lose sight of her target. While she can only focus on one person, her vision is perfect towards that one person. This is, as long as the target is within her field of view. She may be able to see through cover, but she can't see behind her, for example. Her brain also has a hard time at recognizing fast-moving objects, so people travelling at abnormally high speeds may not be initial recognized as the target.
Kyuu Kyou Abilities: Meiya retains her Zenou and Joushou abilities. The Takemikazuchi does not have different weapons. However, she does have one new ability. This one ability... is known as "Slave Mode." The Mitsurugi family is sponsoring the project to develop Tsurugi based on the Takemikazuchi, and thus "Slave Mode" is half-based off of it. Essentially, Slave Mode allows Meiya to control unmanned Tsurugi with the exact same precision as she does the Takemikazuchi. One very dangerous thing about this is that she can also access those Tsurugi's Shinogi. However, there is one major drawback. Whatever damage is done to any of the Tsurugi or the Takemikazuchi is done directly to the others, as well as her.
